I've been wondering the same thing myself, but have avoided any testing because I want to find out when you guys do. Well, actually just before you guys do, if you want to get technical.

I will tell you that, at least on paper, Giuliani has equals in the Democratic party.

Still fine-tuning the VP thing, but I think we'll have 3 matches for Prez to every 1 for VP in each state - something along this line. So the VP will be important to the overall results - an added wrinkle.

How will the VP be determined? Well, you guys will vote when the time comes, of course.

All of them are bought and paid for by the world elite with the exception of Ron Paul and maybe Keys. It doesn't matter who wins, you get the same crap. The country is an oligarchy of the rich and special interests, for the rich and special interests, and by the rich and special interests.

Yes, but which one has that best combination of mad skills, defense, and a knockout punch?

SPRINGFIELD
- It was a HUGE night for Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd, who won the Illinois Democratic primary by a virtual landslide tonight. For the Republicans, Rudy Giuliani wins again in a race that is all but over.

Delegates won in Illinois tonight:

Republican
Giuliani - 69

Richardson - 45

Early Results from the West

02/05/08

With precincts beginning to close in Western States, some results are ready to report.

In the North Dakota Democratic caucus, Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico looks to have squeaked out a narrow win over challenger Christopher Dodd tonight. Mike Gravel, who hoped to steal a win in one of the lesser contested western races, placed third. Senators Edwards and Obama, the other two frontrunners in the Democratic race, chose not to actively campaign in North Dakota. On the Republican side, Rudy Giuliani once again walked away with a big win over the only other candidate to actively campaign in North Dakota, Alan Keyes.

And in the Idaho Democratic caucus, Christopher Dodd added to his delegate count tonight with a lopsided win over distant runner up Barack Obama. Mike Gravel came in third. Neither Senator Edwards or Governor Richardson chose to campaign in Idaho. Idaho's Republican caucus takes place on May 27.

Delegates won in North Dakota tonight:
Republican
Giuliani - 26

Democratic
Richardson - 7
Dodd - 6

Delegates won in Idaho tonight:
Democratic
Dodd - 13
Obama - 5

Delegate count overall:

Republican - 1191 needed

Rudy Giuliani - 927
Alan Keyes - 13

Democratic - 2025 needed

Christopher Dodd - 424
John Edwards - 352
Bill Richardson - 323
Barack Obama - 229
Joe Biden - 24
Hillary Clinton - 23
Mike Gravel - 10

Breaking News: Clinton picks up Utah

02/05/08

Salt Lake City
- In her first victory of the 2008 primary season, Senator Hillary Clinton has pulled off a highly unexpected victory tonight in Utah. With her win tonight, Clinton will be able to battle on for at least a short while after tonight's Super Tuesday contests. California remains the only other state Clinton can capture tonight, and she sets her sites on this upcoming showdown with renewed hope after the Utah victory. John Edwards and Mike Gravel are neck and neck for runner up honors. Senator Chris Dodd polled poorly in a rare stumble. Both Governor Richardson and Senator Obama chose to sit out Utah's contest.

For the Republicans, it is once again Rudy Giuliani, who has been unbeatable since his early Wyoming loss. Alan Keyes placed a distant second in tonight's contest.

Delegates won in Utah tonight:

Republican
Giuliani - 36

Democratic
Clinton - 13
Edwards - 6
Gravel - 4

Delegate count overall:

Republican - 1191 needed

Rudy Giuliani - 963
Alan Keyes - 13

Democratic - 2025 needed

Christopher Dodd - 424
John Edwards - 358
Bill Richardson - 323
Barack Obama - 229
Hillary Clinton - 36
Joe Biden - 24
Mike Gravel - 14

Early Arizona results

02/05/08

Phoenix
- John McCain, in what is undoubtedly his last night of the 2008 campaign, will lose his home state tonight to the juggernaut that is Rudolph Giuliani. The former NYC mayor kayoed McCain's hopes, and bested the rest of the field again tonight in another step toward the inevitable Republican nomination.

With 82% of precincts reporting, it is still too close to call on the Democratic side. The primary has become a three horse deadlock between Senator John Edwards, Senator Christopher Dodd and Governor Bill Richardson, all of whom are within 2% of one another at this current time. Only Senator Barack Obama looks to be out of the race for Arizona's 56 available democractic delegates.

Delegates won in Arizona tonight:

Republican
Giuliani - 53

Delegate count overall:

Republican - 1191 needed

Rudy Giuliani - 1016
Alan Keyes - 13

Super Tuesday is just about over - the last 20-some posts have been reports for the same day! - and it's apparent Giuliani will either have the nomination, or be extremely close.

The concern on the Republican side will be staying in the news while the Democrats slog it out for the next couple of months. I'm guessing they'll float some VP stuff out there shortly after Super Tuesday, just to keep them from being forgotten.

He has been absolutely unbeatable - Kayoing the field at virtually every stop. It will indeed be interesting to find out whether he just benefits from a relatively weak field of GOP contestants, or if he is really that good.

Arizona - Democratic winner declared and final delegate count

02/05/08

Phoenix
- It took all night, but after the final initial count, Senator John Edwards has been declared the winner of the Arizona Democratic primary, finish just a few thousand votes ahead of second place finisher Senator Christopher Dodd, who in turn narrowly eclipsed Governor Bill Richardson in an incredibly tight three man race. Senator Barack Obama, the only other candidate to actively campaign in the state, finished a distant fourth.

Due to the very tight nature of the contest, the win will help Edwards far more in his effort to procure campaign funds than it will in the delegate chase.

Delegates won in Arizona:
Republican
Giuliani - 53

Democratic
Edwards - 20
Dodd - 19
Richardson - 17

Delegate count overall:

Republican - 1191 needed

Rudy Giuliani - 1016
Alan Keyes - 13

Democratic - 2025 needed

Christopher Dodd - 443
John Edwards - 378
Bill Richardson - 340
Barack Obama - 229
Hillary Clinton - 36
Joe Biden - 24
Mike Gravel - 14

Two Small Democratic contests completed

02/05/08

American Samoa has voted in favor of Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut. Dodd will receive all 3 pledged delegates.

And in a surprise that further underscores the incredibly mixed opinions of the democratic electorate, Democrats Abroad have shown a preference for Mike Gravel, who edged out John Edwards in a close contest. While the win will have little impact on Gravel's fate in the overall 2008 campaign, it will no doubt give his supporters a small measure of validation.

Delegates won in American Samoa:
Democratic
Dodd - 3

Delegates won in Americans Abroad:
Democratic
Gravel - 4
Edwards - 4
Richardson - 2
Obama - 1

Delegate count overall:

Republican - 1191 needed

Rudy Giuliani - 1016
Alan Keyes - 13

Democratic - 2025 needed

Christopher Dodd - 446
John Edwards - 382
Bill Richardson - 342
Barack Obama - 230
Hillary Clinton - 36
Joe Biden - 24
Mike Gravel - 18
