I am strictly using the in-game rankings to schedule fights. Finally they have worked themselves out and the best fighters are making their way to the top.

I still like using the random method on scheduling (although the champs always fight the highest ranked fighter scheduled to fight who won his last fight) because it seems to be better at imitating the current scene in boxing. With exception to Cotto-Margarito the best two fighters don't always fight each other.

What a great fight! The fight was back and forth the whole time but to me it looked like Ryan was clearly out-boxing Dempsey. Dempsey stayed busy throwing a little under 80 punches a round. Ryan threw just under 50 punches a round but landed 44% compared to Dempsey's 28%. The scorecards were 145-142 Ryan, 144-143 Dempsey, and 144-143 for the winner and new unified champion, Jack Dempsey.

Early on it looked as if Gans was gonna walk with this one but in the fifth round Hill pounded on the champ. In the sixth round Gans started slugging with Hill and caught a hook square on the jaw which dropped him for an 8 count. Luckily Hill had suffered a cut in the fourth round that opened back up in the seventh causing the ref to stop the fight on the doctor's request.
