What a grand night! It was so successful, we shall repeat it oftenly. Just when it looked like the Yorkists were going to complete a clean sweep of their betters from London, Oscar Siddorn managed a draw against Hrothgar Workman and then, in what was a little bit of a shocker even to us, Archer Rebow just barely edged out our man Finlay Walby thanks to the overly strict callings of referee Angus MacDonald. As far as we are concerned, this match was evened at 3 apiece (we consider the bear to be Yorkist property).

Edinburgh Castle Pugilistics
--------------------------
Ian Coggan 6-1-0 (5) def. an actual bear 7-11-0 (4) by DQ
We figured Scotland fans would be appreciative of seeing an animal in the ring. They were somewhat disappointed by the fact that it wore a muzzle, and more disappointed by the fact that local referee Angus MacDonald disqualified it for low paw-swipes.

Garfield Randull 6-1-0 (4) def. Leo Ayling 5-4-0 (2) by KO-4
York 1, London 0.

Hrothwulf Hambleton 4-3-0 (4) def. Dermot Quenby 1-7-0 by KO-4
York 2, London 0.

Beostar Marsland 5-2-1 (4) def. Howard Smith 7-1-0 (4) by KO-8
York 3, London 0. This is unfair! We can see Randull and Hambleton beating Ayling and Quenby, but Smith was an up and comer! Marsland must have been loading his gloves. We should have stood up in our straw ticks.

Puddington Frankham 5-4-0 (3) def. Sebastian Turberville 4-2-2 (4) by DQ-4
York 4, London 0. Now this just takes the cake. The new man Angus MacDonald appears to be very, very strict. He's yours, Scotland. You can have him.

Oscar Siddorn 6-3-3 (3) drew Hrothgar Workman 7-4-2 (3)
York 4, London 0, 1 draw. Finally, London fans had something to cheer about. Or at least not boo.

Archer Rebow 10-2-0 (5) def. Finlay Walby 9-1-0 (4) by decision
Walby was called for punches to Rebow's lower back area in the first. We think that's a pretty strange reason to mark a person off, but then again we do not know our anatomy due to this being the Middle Ages and that sort of thing being highly frowned uponne by the Church.

The Scottish Club has begunne its fightinge in the Castle of Edinburgh. We shall start to report on them in two fortnights.

Inter-Club
------------
Hapye Gayford 1-10-0 (1) def. Crazy Harry Miskin 6-5-0 (4) by KO-5
This is not good for Miskin.

London
------------
Logan Tennison 3-8-0 (1) def. John Johnson 3-8-0 (1) by decision
So far, all 3 of Tennison's career victories have come at the hands of Johnson.

Ian Coggin 7-1-0 (5) def. Oscar Siddorn 6-4-3 (3) by decision
The end appears to be coming quickly for Siddorn, as he loses to the 16th ranked newcomer.

Finlay Walby 10-1-0 (4) def. Dwayne Copeman 3-5-1 (2) by decision
Walby called this fight, which he took in favor of facing the fading Siddorn, a "triale horse" match. It is not chivalric to punch horses.

York
--------------
Whitesmith Agar 2-3-4 def. Coelmund Withy 5-3-0 (3) by decision
Minor upset here as Agar had won just 1 of seven bouts going into this one.

Highwayman Waylen 5-5-0 (5) def. Headbumper Dejyothin 8-3-0 (8) by KO-1
Given these fighters' history, you knew it was going to end in a knockout.

The big news this month was that following his successful bout against the statue of a bear (we would say this isn't saying much but an awful lot of the younger group have lost to it), Axegrinden Brown made a foolish statement about the Normans. To be precise, he said that the Saxons could lick them any day of the week if they had horses and good armor. As a result, Brown will be given other duties besides fisticuffs for the next 90 days. Duties such as cleaning the club latrine. That ought to show him.

Inter-club
---------------
Axegrinden Brown (Y) 11-2-0 7 def. Statue of a Bear 8-15-1 6 by KO-6
Brown hath never gotten the chance to fight the statue before and floored it thrice.

Christopher Erskine 8-0-0 4 (S) def. Sebastian Turberville 4-3-2 4 (L) by TKO-7
Erskine, the newly crowned Scottish champion, does equally well in London.

London
---------------
Brad Sewell 7-0-0 (6) def. Frazer Purdy 3-8-0 (1) by TKO-2
Purdy's looking mighty unstoppable in the London Club.

Scotland
---------------
Ryan MacBrayne 1-7-1 def. Cameron Matheson 3-5-0 1 by decision
MacBrayne scores a bit of an upset and evens his lifetime record vs. Matheson.

York
---------------
Garfield Randull 7-1-0 4 def. Coelmund Withy 5-4-0 3 by decision
That's Withy's 2nd decision loss in two months. Too bad.

Hrothwulf Hambleton 5-3-0 4 def. Tondhere Mailes 5-1-0 3 by decision
Mailes will be a good fighter some day, but he probably took this fight too soon.

No interclub fights this month. Pretty ho-hum for a month, actually.

London
----------------
Dermot Quenby 2-7-0 1 def. Dennis Dauntsey 5-1-0 2 by TKO-6
Dauntsey was heavily favored but Quenby cut his face up as with a knife.

Brad Sewell 8-0-0 6 def. John Johnson 3-9-0 1 by decision
Well, you can say one thing about Johnson's undeserved ranking. It hath provided the opportunity for others to shoot way up by defeating him.

Spencer Sefton 10-3-2 4 drew Fergus Bracegirdle 6-3-4 4
Neither fighter had the power to knock the other down. Both seem to be fading.

Scotland
----------------
Thomas Hunter 5-3-0 2 def. Joshua Foulis 0-6-0 by TKO-4
Foulis's career is but 6 matches old, but already this looks a man who fights for work rather than works to fight.

Taylor MacCloy 5-3-0 2 def. Kieran Fairlie 6-2-0 3 by decision
Both men are quite popular in the land of the Scots. Fight fans did not want either to lose.

York
----------------
Ethelbal Alty 4-6-1 1 def. Ealhmund Sproston 5-1-0 2 by decision
The Ethelbal abides.

Tondhere Mailes 6-1-0 4 def. Hrothgar Workman 7-5-2 3 by TKO-8
Big-time upset, if you ask us. Workman was winning when Rumpelstiltskin stopped it.

Beostar Marsland 6-2-1 5 def. Highwayman Waylen 5-6-0 5 by TKO-3
You know, Waylen's record isn't so daunting once you get past the knockouts.

Archer Rebow 11-2-0 5 def. Whitesmith Agar 2-4-4 by decision
If Rebow has a weakness, it's that he allows boxers who have no business being in the ring with him to stay there.

Interclub
-------------
Jake Edison 4-1-1 (3) (L) def. Jonathan Montgomerie 1-7-1 (1) (S) by TKO-8
A nice little tuning up fight for Edison. Montgomerie traveled all the way to London just to get outpunched two to one.

London
--------------
Leo Ayling 6-4-0 (3) def. Logan Tennison 3-9-0 (1) by KO-1
Yikes! This was supposed to be the fight of the night, as two evenly mediocre boxers stepped in. Ayling's average fists met Tennison's bad jaw and it was all over early.

Harry Miskin 7-5-0 (4) def. Dwayne Copeman 3-6-1 (2) by decision
Miskin's defense was in the offing as he allowed Copeman to land just three in twenty blows he threw.

Dermont Quenby 3-7-0 (1) def. Brad Sewell 8-1-0 (6) by DQ-8
This shall surely throw a lance into Sewell's plans of club dominance.

Scotland
---------------
Dylan Lindsey 4-4-0 (1) def. Thomas Hunter 5-4-0 (2) by decision
We would make a statement about the importance of a Dylan v. Thomas match, but that reference is still around 850 years away. We certainly will not say that one of these men went gently into the dark night.

Christopher Erskine 9-0-0 (5) def. Kieran Fairlie 6-3-0 (3) by TKO-5
Erskine floored Fairlie twice in the fourth and then pummelled him into submission the next round.

York
---------------
Coelmund Withy 6-4-0 (3) def. Tondhere Mailes 6-2-0 (4) by decision
Another month, another promising career partially derailed by a cagey vet.

Fatman Chubb 5-5-0 (3) def. Garfield Randull 7-2-0 (4) by KO-8
Chubb is not heavy. He is not my brother either. I know not why I bring that up.

Whitesmith Agar 3-4-4 (1) def. Gael Tunstall 3-3-0 (1) by KO-10
Tunstall was heading towards a close victory when Agar floored him in the final frame.

Archer Rebow 12-2-0 (6) def. Puddington Frankham 5-5-0 (3) by KO-10
We had Frankham winning rounds 6, 7, 8, and 9 before Rebow finally woke up.

What a wonderful happeninge! It has been announced that our very own Kinge Henry I has agreed to don the... well, boxers don't wear much of anything except shorts, but he is donning them and shall box! Already we have an account of his Trial of Manhood, which as you can see he passed with flying colors:

def. Statue of a Bear 13-22-2 (9) by KO-1
def. an actual bear 18-17-1 (8) by KO-3
def. Orange the Golem 15-21-1 (7) by TKO-3
def. Shackled Miscreant 6-29-1 (1) by KO-2
def. Stupid Commoner 8-24-3 (5) by TKO-5
def. Rob Tregear 3-9-0 by KO-3 in a special exhibition match

Interclub
--------------
Headbumper Dejyothin (Y) 9-3-0 (9) def. an actual bear 18-18-1 (8) by TKO-5
That bear is starting to look tired out.

London
--------------
Dean Milledge 6-3-1 (4) def. George Freke 1-5-0 by decision
Welcome to the club, mister Freke.

Spencer Sefton 11-3-2 (5) def. Dermot Quenby 3-8-0 (1) by TKO-6
Quenby, the more popular man, chose this match, figuring the worst that could happen was that he got beat by a better man.

Brad Sewell 9-1-0 (6) def. Oscar Siddorn 6-5-3 (3) by decision
It was about as non-close as a decision can get. Sewell took 8 rounds to Siddorn's 2.

Scotland
--------------
Cameron Matheson 4-5-0 (1) def. Kai Gordon 5-1-0 (1) by decision
Scotland's just getting started. We should expect strangeness like this.

Calum Ring 1-5-0 (1) def. Ryan MacBrayne 1-8-1 by KO-1
The Scottish Special: Duel of the Crud. This fight didn't even last 40 seconds.

York
--------------
Coelmund Withy 7-4-0 (4) def. Fatman Chubb 5-6-0 (3) by KO-2
Withy knocked Chubb down 3 times in 5 minutes.

Ethelstamp Woodger 5-5-0 (2) def. Hrothwulf Hambleton 5-4-0 (4) by KO-4
Hambleton would be a fighter if only he had a little more heart; 5 career times knocked down, only 3 of those times has he risen.

Tondhere Mailes 7-2-0 (5) def. Hapye Gayford 1-11-0 (1) by KO-8
Mailes is taking too many fights, although if they stay within the distance I guess it can't hurt.

'Tis a bigge, bigge month for the London clubbe. There are lots and lots of fightes, so many that the Clubbe was forced to schedule two fight nights for the month. York-town and the land of the Scots were not quite so busy but what they lacked in quantity they made up with quality. That's not true. The best fights were in London town: King Henry failed to win by knockout for the first time in his career (although he still plastered his man all over the ring) and Crazy Harry Miskin won in a stunning 9th round technical knockout. In the latter fight, there will probably always be a bit of controversy surrounding that one, but it was in our opinion a good move: Walby had been trying to fight around a broken nose for the better part of the fight.

Following his fight with Axegrinden Brown, Hrothwulf Hambleton was so moved by his opponent's flashing fists that he joined a monastery and is not expected to fight again in several months if ever. Also, Ian Coggan just didn't look right following his loss to Spencer Sefton and went to his manor to recuperate. We wish him the best.

Inter-towne
-------------------
Stupid Commoner 10-27-3 (5) def. Calum Ring 1-6-0 (1) by decision
Calum Ring is not very goode. Verily.

London
-------------------
Frazer Purdy 4-8-0 (1) def. Rob Tregear 3-10-0 by decision
Purdy completely dominated Tregear throughout the fight, demonstrating that there is bad and then there is awful.

Ashley Milbank 5-1-0 (3) def. George Freke 1-6-0 by KO-1
The sundials did not even have the chance to wind up all the way; by our accounts, Milbank dispatched Freke in under a minute.

Dean Milledge 7-3-1 (3) def. Chris Hawking 1-5-0 by KO-5
Milledge shines his record against a man who could not defeat the statue of a bear.

Leo Ayling 7-4-0 (4) def. Dwayne Copeman 3-7-1 (2) by KO-8
Copeman looked like he was just trying to avoid getting knocked to the ground all fight long. All this did was allow Ayling to hit him even more times than he should have.

Sebastian Turberville 5-3-2 (5) def. John Johnson 3-10-0 (1) by TKO-7
Turberville savagely closed both of Johnson's eyes, then pounded away at his nose until the fight had to be called.

Howard Smith 8-1-0 (4) def. Fergus Bracegirdle 6-4-4 (4) by decision
Smith overcomes an early-round knockdown to eke out a close one, thanks to a combination of great defense (allowed just 20% of Bracegirdle's shots to hit) and some accuracy on his own part (36% of his own punches landed).

King Henry 7-0-0 (6) def. Jake Edison 4-2-1 (3) by decision
King Henry looked dejected after the fight because he just could not get Edison on the floor. In related news, Edison looks like he might be a very solid fighter.

Spencer Sefton 12-3-2 (6) def. Ian Coggan 7-2-0 (5) by KO-8
What a grand match! This fight was as close as close can be before Sefton took down a tired Coggan.

Crazy Harry Miskin 8-5-0 (5) def. Finlay Walby 10-2-0 (4) by TKO-9
Finlay Walby should have known: you just can't be sure what Crazy Harry's going to do from one fight to the next. Now

Scotland
-------------------
Taylor MacCloy 6-3-0 (2) def. Cameron Matheson 4-6-0 (1) by KO-3
Matheson dominated the first two rounds but didn't respect MacCloy's right hande.

York
-------------------
Cussburg Bland 4-2-0 (3) def. Eawa Peasnell 3-3-0 (3) by KO-3
Both boxers came into the fighte with identical records but, as they say, looks can be deceiving.

Whitesmith Agar 3-4-5 (1) drew Eohric Monnington 3-3-1
Agar doesn't believe in making enemies. He thinks that if you fight down to their level and draw all the time you will make nothing but friends. Whitesmith Agar is wrong.

Ealhmund Sproston 6-1-0 (2) def. Headbumper Dejyothin 9-4-0 (9) by decision
Dejyothin got plenty of "headbumping" fists behind Sproston's defenses, but Sproston proved too manly to knock downe.

Axegrinden Brown 12-2-0 (8) def. Hrothwulf Hambleton 5-5-0 (5) by KO-3
Brown took Hambleton down twice in the second and twice in the third. A real mismatch.

London
------------------------
Sebastian Turberville 6-3-2 (6) def. Joseph Saint Mary 2-4-0 by KO-2
Saint Mary spent almost as much time lying down as he did standing up. He probably just felt tired.

King Henry 8-0-0 (7) def. Dennis Dauntsey 5-2-0 (2) by TKO-6
How did Dauntsey keep getting up? Our Henry sent his man to the canvas four times and made his face look like the innards of a sheep.

Leo Ayling 8-4-0 (5) def. Fergus Bracegirdle 6-5-4 (4) by KO-9
Ayling looked like a wild boar in the early rounds, gutting Bracegirdle and swelling up his eyes (okay, boars do not do that, but stay with me on this), and used this early display of force to dominate the later rounds.

Scotland
--------------------------
Murray Smith 3-3-0 (1) def. Kian Ainslie 0-6-0 by decision
Smith just barely gets by Ainslie, who is beginning to look like a "trial horse" for the other up and coming boxers.

Kai Gordon 6-1-0 (2) def. Joshua Foulis 0-7-0 by KO-3
Gordon saw his own blood and got desperate. Maybe Gordon should get desperate more often.

Christopher Erskine 10-0-0 (5) def. Thomas Hunter 5-5-0 (2) by decision
Hunter remains one of three opponents that Erskine has gone the distance against. He's fought Hunter twice and in another fight won a decision on a fight stopped early due to an accidental head butt.

York
---------------------------
Ealhmund Sproston 7-1-0 (3) def. Cussburg Bland 4-3-0 (3) by KO-7
Bland's workrate was bringing him the day when Sproston landed a well-timed punch that landed Bland on the ground.

Ethelbal Alty 5-6-1 (2) def. Hapye Gayford 1-12-0 (1) by KO-1
Alty seemed angry before the match that he has lost so many close bouts. It appears he took his anger out on Mister Gayford, who only wants to make friends. How sad.

Ethelstamp Woodger 6-5-0 (2) def. Leofric Episcopus 3-2-1 by decision
We actually thought Episcopus won this one, but what do you do? In the end, it's referee Eodric Rumpelstiltskin's decision. Just don't make the man say his own name.

Beostar Marsland 7-2-1 (6) def. Puddington Frankham 5-6-0 (3) by KO-1
Marsland, who hadn't fought since March, shows York towne why he is regarded so highly.

It was a bad, bad idea allowing Crazy Harry to win and then defend the Old London Crown. As expected, nobody knew what to expect from him. Crazy Harry cried in the ring at times, and although he was looking like he was going to overcome his sobbing to beat jousting horse Frazer Purdy on points, he fell down and did not get up in the 9th inning. Somehow a man with more losses than wins holds the Crown. Needless to say, following the fight Miskin was un-cleared to box for a few months.

In York towne, however, there was yet another tight fight between champion Archer Rebow and #1 contender Axegrinden Brown. This time, it was Brown's turn to take the close decision. In May of last year, Rebow won the same way. It's almost worth saying that both men ought to be recognized except that would be a Danish move.

Intertowne
------------------
Shackled Frenchman 4-3-1 def. Blind Rasmussen 2-4-0 (1) by decision
The Scots decided to bring in two of the manhood-testers to let the crowd know who the beginners train against. Needless to say, the crowd was unimpressed, although we find ourselves saying it anyway so perhaps the saying thereof was not needless after all.

London
------------------
Dean Milledge 8-3-1 (3) def. Logan Tennison 3-10-1 (1) by decision
Milledge proved the easy victor but has to be a little disappointed that it went the distance.

King Henry 9-0-0 (8) def. Howard Smith 8-2-0 (4) by TKO-9
The King continues his mastery of the division by pummelling Smith so hard that the referee had to stop the bout early.

Frazer Purdy 5-8-0 (2) def. Crazy Harry Miskin 8-6-0 (5) by KO-9
Yep, you just don't know which Crazy Harry you're going to see. This was the one that washes his hands thirty-five times a day because they smell of his mother. And now Frazer Purdy is a really, really bad champion.

Scotland
-----------------
Ryan MacBrayne 2-8-1 (1) def. Dean MacDavid 2-3-0 (1) by KO-9
MacBrayne hadn't really shown much before this fight, but Highlanders always seem to bring the best out of each other. They also bring out each others' blood and teeth.

Marc Ogilvie 6-0-0 (5) def. Ryan Farquhar 4-2-0 (4) by KO-2
Awfully brutal for such a short match: Farquhar hit the turf twice and developed a nasty cut under his eye as well.

Ben Malise 3-1-2 (1) def. Kian Ainslie 0-7-0 by decision
Malise just didn't look ready to fight, as he just squeaked by the winless Ainslie.

Taylor MacCloy 7-3-0 (4) def. Callum MacRanald 2-4-0 (2) by KO-7
Early or late, highlander matches always end up in knockouts.

Calum Ring 2-6-0 (1) def. Dylan Lindsey 4-5-0 (1) by DQ-2
Referee Angus MacDonald does not allow blows to the kilt. It is just not done in Scotland.

York
-------------------
Coelmund Withy 8-4-0 (4) def. Leofric Episcopus 3-3-1 by decision
Leofric should know that there is no shame in losing to a better man.

Gael Tunstall 4-3-0 (2) def. Headbumper Dejyothin 9-5-0 (9) by KO-10
With six knockdowns, the fans loved this match almost as much as they'd love a public hanging. The 20th ranked Tunstall plans to move way, way up following this one.

Ealhmund Sproston 8-1-0 (4) def. Ethelbal Alty 5-7-1 (2) by KO-3
Sproston avenges the sole loss of his career in grand fashion.

Hrothgar Workman 8-5-2 (4) def. Garfield Randull 7-3-0 (4) by KO-3
Not every fight has to end with the vet getting clobbered by the rookie. Sometimes it's the rookie's turn to get clobbered.

Beostar Marsland 8-2-1 (7) def. Whitesmith Agar 3-5-5 (1) by TKO-4
While we're happy to see Agar move on from his draw-tastic ways, we aren't sure if this is necessarily a good direction for him either.

Axegrinden Brown 13-2-0 (8) def. Archer Rebow 12-3-0 (6) by decision
The third fight between these men ends very closely. Eodric Rumpelstiltskin scored the match 6 rounds for Brown, 5 for Rebow, and 1 even.

Owing to the popularity of pugilisme, another venue shall be opened in Wales in time for next year. Additionally, a special grouping shall be named that will feature the top boxers in England coming from York and London. The entry requirements will be simple: a minimum of 10 fights won and five more wins than losses. We sense that some on the top of the London and York venues are getting, shall we say, bored with their surroundings and this is bound to help.

Intertowne
--------------
Kieran Fairlie 6-3-1 (3) drew Leofric Episcopus 3-3-2
Episcopus, who has been less than impressive, traveled from York to Scotland. In related news, Fairlie appears to have sent the excitment he occasionally brings to fights out of town.

London
----------------
Chris Hawking 2-5-0 def. Ashley Milbank 5-2-0 (3) by decision
Hawking doesn't punch hard enough to knock people out but otherwise dominated this fight. Milbank was considered a strong up and comer before this.

Logan Tennison 4-10-0 (2) def. Dwayne Copeman 3-8-1 (2) by KO-4
This battle between two jousting horses was actually rather exciting. Tennison was downed twice in the third but recovered to splatter Copeman all over the ground.

Jake Edison 5-2-1 (4) def. George Freke 1-7-0 by TKO-7
Edison's back on the winning side of things after stopping Freke on cuts.

Frazer Purdy 6-8-0 (2) def. Sebastian Turberville 6-4-2 (6) by decision
The fighte of the year! Turberville and Purdy doled out destruction for 12 rounds but in the end it was the champ winning 6 to 5 with 1 even. 2 more fights and Purdy gets as many wins as losses!

Scotland
----------------------
Aiden MacBean 5-1-0 (5) def. Thomas Bardon 4-2-0 (3) by KO-6
MacBean gets a scare, as Bardon opens up a gash over his eye. However, in the end it was Bardon who was run into the ground.

Marc Oglivie 7-0-0 (4) def. Murray Smith 3-4-0 (1) by decision
A lot of decisions are close. This one, not so much. It was only a decision because Smith refused to fall down.

Kai Gordon 7-1-0 (2) def. Max Malloch 3-3-0 (2) by decision
Gordon's inability to take people out is going to come back to hurt him one day.

Cameron Matheson 5-6-0 (2) def. Dylan Lindsay 4-6-0 (1) by TKO-9
Lindsay was winning on the card but developed a nasty cut over his eye. Matheson, desperate, opened it enough times to convince the ref.

Christopher Erskine 11-0-0 (6) def. Calum Ring 2-7-0 (1) by KO-3
Erskine defends the title again. He really needs to face somebody worthy... but who?

York
-------------------
Hapye Gayford 2-12-0 (2) def. Petrus Turgoose 1-5-0 (1) by KO-3
We knew somebody had to win this. We just didn't think it was going to be by an early-round knockout.

Beostar Marsland 9-2-1 (4) def. Hrothgar Workman 8-6-2 (4) by decision
Even out of shape, Marsland's got enough to take Workman down.

October 1101

As we get ever closer to the new Norman division, we look with some fondness at what will likely be the last contenders' list from London and York to include many of the top boxers. From January on, those two clubs will be primarily for youngsters to show their stuff and so-so boxers to battle each other for the honors of being the most +so and the least -so. London stayed pretty clean during the last four months (other than the changing of hands at the top) but York saw 4 newcomers into the Top 10. Also, Scottish boxers continue to wow fans with brutal but quick bouts. We are told that Edinburgh Castle has taken to adding a dance festivale after its boxing matches because they are so short.

London
------------
Dean Millege 9-3-1 (4) def. Aaron Goodier 5-2-0 (4) by decision
Brains overpower brawn in this... well, it was not a thriller of a contest, to say the least. Millege won the first 4 rounds, ran away from Goodier for the rest of the fight, and just eked out a victory because referee Basington Basilhstipe scored the final round even.

Leo Ayling 9-4-0 (6) def. Chris Hawking 2-6-0 by KO(4)
Hawking was in this one, actually, which is probably why he chose not to cover up when Ayling started to pound him. Let this be a lesson to us all! Better to give up one rounde than to lay on one's back at the end of a fight.

Brad Sewell 10-1-0 (7) def. Ron Strode 3-3-0 (2) by KO(7)
Welcome to London, Mister Strode. We promise things will get easier as it goes along. For one thing, Mister Sewell does not figure to fight much in the City league for too much longer.

Scotland
------------
Craig MacLaine 5-1-0 (4) def. Fraser MacCallum 1-5-0 by TKO(3)
You could schedule a Highlander match for 1 round and it would probably end inside the distance. And somebody would have been knocked down 3 times during that period.

Marc Ogilvie 8-0-0 (6) def. Kian Ainslie 0-8-0 by KO(4)
The Scots like their fights like they like their women: short and dirty. Also red-headed.

Christopher Erskine 12-0-0 (7) def. Joshua Foulis 0-8-0 by KO(1)
Why was this fight even scheduled? Oh yes. The Scots like to see people get hurt. We forgot.

Wales
------------
Jay Tuck 3-1-2 (1) def. Iestyn Akers 4-1-1 (3) by KO(1)
The first ever match between two Welshmen ends quite quickly.

York
------------
Aselnodus Tatchell 2-4-0 (1) def. Aelgarus Rider 1-4-1 by KO(3)
Tatchell sends Rider to the ground over and over again. He did not look well against the foreigners and the bears but perhaps this is a sign he is better than that. Or else it is a sign that Rider is really, really bad.

Eawa Peasnell 4-3-0 (4) def. Fisherman Shrimpton 3-4-0 (2) by TKO (4)
Has anyone else noticed that blood looks a lot like claret? We mean, it doesn't taste similar at all. But it looks a lot the same and this bout was a regular claret-bath. Not that we have ever indulged in a claret-bath. That is for the Kinge and the Kinge alone.

Tondhere Mailes 8-2-0 (6) def. Highwayman Waylen 5-7-0 (5) by TKO(6)
Waylen won all the rounds that he didn't spend time on the ground. All two of them.

Coelmund Withy 9-4-0 (5) def. Puddington Frankham 5-7-0 (3) by KO(1)
By our sundial, it took Withy under a minute to dispatch Frankham. That's saying something in these winter months, where the minutes are shorter.

Axegrinden Brown 14-2-0 (9) def. Fatman Chubb 5-7-0 (3) by TKO(6)
This may well be Brown's final title defense, as the Norman Division opens in January and Axegrinden plans on going there.

Following his fight with Cussburg Bland, Aelgarus Rider's intestines fell out of his bodye and this will cause him to miss several months. We were sickenede. 'Twas not a good month for Yorkists, as Eohric Monnington was led away from his fighte in shackles. He is on trial for thievery. Unfortunately for him, the Norman judges will not be coming by the York region until March.

Interclub
--------------
Marvin Woolton 3-2-1 def. Statue of a Bear 20-35-3 (14) by decision
The Welsh brought out the now-retired statue of a bear for which to test Marvin Woolton's mettle. It appears his mettle did not pass but the Welsh are much more into lobbing blows from the outside than we are here in London-town.

London
--------------
Riley Truslove 3-3-0 (1) def. Robin Yard 5-1-0 (3) by TKO(5)
Coming out of the Rites of Passage, we figured Yard to be the young up and coming hero, but Truslove showed that Robin's face does not hold up to repeated punchings.

Ron Strode 4-3-0 (3) def. Aaron Goodier 5-3-0 (4) by KO(2)
Another London upset! You just can't depend on young boxers these days.

Howard Smith 9-2-0 (5) def. Rob Tregear 3-11-0 by KO(5)
Smith wins this one by tiring out Tregear with body shots and otherwise sapping the man's will to fight.

Brad Sewell 11-1-0 (8) def. Dermot Quenby 3-9-0 (1) by TKO(2)
Sewell avenges the only blemish on his boxing record by flat-out dominating Quenby.

Finlay Walby 11-2-0 (4) def. Oscar Siddorn 6-6-3 (3) by decision
Walby will be moving up, but his inability to take Siddorn down early does not bode well for his chances of success against the Yorkists.

Scotland
--------------
Craig MacLaine 6-1-0 (4) def. Aidan Nance 5-1-0 (1) by decision
MacLaine seemed somewhat angry at not being able to fight a fellow Highlander this month and took it out on Nance, knocking him down twice but stringing him along for maximum punishment.

Jonathan Montgomerie 2-7-1 (2) def. Joshua Foulis 0-9-0 by KO(4)
This battle of trial horses saw Montgomerie dominate the fight and Foulis retire the first time he was knocked down.

Aiden MacBean 6-1-0 (6) def. Ryan MacBrayne 2-9-1 (1) by TKO(3)
You can fault MacBrayne for many things, but staying down after being knocked to the ground is not one of them. MacBean scored 4 knockdowns and a cut and the referee still had to intercede to end it.

Max Malloch 4-3-0 (2) def. Ben Malise 3-2-2 (1) by decision
Somebody's got to make up the middle portion of the Scottish club. Not everybody can be great or a pansy.

Kieran Fairlie 7-3-1 (3) def. Cameron Matheson 5-7-0 (2) by decision
Three decisions in the land of Scots? Cats marrying dogs! It is bedlam!

Wales
--------------
Quincy Beardall 5-1-0 (3) def. Ronald Strawson 3-3-0 (1) by TKO(5)
It's still too early to get a good read on these Welshmen.

Dougie Drabble 5-0-1 (4) def. Lester Beardall 3-2-1 by decision
Sadly, the Beardall brothers were not both able to emerge from fighte nighte victoriously for the month of November.

Jay Tuck 4-1-2 (1) def. Evan Conisford 2-3-1 by decision
Conisford was heavily favored going into this one, which just goes to show how little the Welsh know about boxinge.

York
--------------
Cussburg Bland 5-3-0 (4) def. Aelgarus Rider 1-5-1 by KO(2)
Rumors have surfaced that Bland has problems with untrained slugging types. Sadly for Aelgarus Rider, he is a student of the sweet arts.

Whitesmith Agar 4-5-5 (1) def. Eohric Monnington 3-4-1 by decision
Their last fight ended in a draw, so these two light punchers battled a second time. This time around, Agar launched a series of keen blows that all but blinded Monnington and sent him to the canvas twice.

Garfield Randull 8-3-0 (4) def. Gael Tunstall 4-4-0 (2) by decision
Sometimes decisions are close things. In this case, Eodric Rumpelstiltskin scored it Randull 9 rounds, Tunstall 1.

December 1101

It being December, the month of inter-club bouts, we have decided to sweeten the pot with a little bit of extra scoring. Bouts shall go as following:

Win by decision: +1
Win by KO or TKO: +2
Loss by decision: -1
Loss by KO or TKO: -2
Draw: 0

The winninge club shall get a feast hosted by Barmy Bill, the London Palace court jester.

Interclub
-------------
Aidan Nance (Scotland) 6-1-0 (1) def. Quincy Beardall (Wales) 5-2-0 (3) by decision
This fight ended early when Nance headbutted Beardall. A striking blow, as Nance was easily leading the battle at that point.
Scotland 1, Wales -1

Fraser Purdy (London) 7-8-0 (2) def. Archer Rebow (York) 12-4-0 (6) by decision
Hath Purdy found some of that magic that the Old London Crown bestows? We cannot find any other way to explain the victory over the heavily favored Rebow.
Scotland 1, London 1, York -1, Wales -1

Spencer Sefton (London) 13-3-2 (7) def. Douggie Drabble (Wales) 5-1-1 (4) by TKO(7)
The youngster from Cardiff was just no match for the veteran Sefton. Drabble went down seven times. That's enough to make one sleepy just thinking about it.
London 3, Scotland 1, York -1, Wales -3

Brad Sewell (London) 12-1-0 (9) def. Lester Beardall (Wales) 3-3-1 by KO(2)
Beardall actually made this one look close, knocking down Sewell twice in the first.
London 5, Scotland 1, York -1, Wales -5

Leo Ayling (London) 10-4-0 (6) def. Ethelstamp Woodger 6-6-0 (2) by decision
This close, hard-fought victory will also allow Ayling to move up into the regionals.
London 6, Scotland 1, York -2, Wales -5

Kai Gordon (Scotland) 8-1-0 (2) def. Dean Milledge (London) 9-4-1 (3) by decision.
Gordon, an outside fighter, does not fit the Scottish stereotype, but did enough to stay Milledge's journey into the regionals for at least another couple months.
London 5, Scotland 2, York -2, Wales -5

Howard Smith (London) 10-2-0 (5) def. Ryan MacBrayne (Scotland) 2-10-1 (1) by decision
MacBrayne doesn't go down so easily but that's about all the good that can be said about this so-called Highlander.
London 7, Scotland 0, York -2, Wales -5

King Henry (London) 10-0-0 (9) def. Gael Tunstall (York) 4-5-0 (2) by TKO(4)
Now this just wasn't fair. The good news is, now King Henry can move up to the regionals as well.
London 9, Scotland 0, York -4, Wales -5

John Johnson (London) 4-10-0 (2) def. Hapye Gayford (York) 2-13-0 (2) by KO(2)
Johnson has no punch but Gayford has no chin. The chin lost.
London 11, Scotland 0, Wales -5, York -6

Rob Tregear (London) 4-11-0 (1) def. Murray Smith (Scotland) 3-5-0 (1) by KO(2)
It seems as though the Lord is on our side this month! Even our trial horses are beating their gatekeepers!
London 13, Scotland -2, Wales -5, York -6

Craig MacLaine (Scotland) 7-1-0 (4) def. Jake Edison 5-3-1 (4) by decision
Finally, somebody is able to defeat a Londoner!
London 12, Scotland -1, Wales -5, York -6

Dwayne Copeman (London) 4-8-1 (3) def. Aiden MacBean (Scotland) 6-2-0 (6) by KO(5)
MacBean learns the hard way to watch out for Copeman's right hand.
London 14, Scotland -3, Wales -5, York -6

Alex MacKinley (Scotland) 5-0-1 (2) drew George Freke (London) 1-7-1
Is London really that much better than everyone else?
London 14, Scotland -3, Wales -5, York -6

Ron Strode (London) 5-3-0 (4) def. Petrus Turgoose (YorK) 1-6-0 (1) by KO(7)
Turgoose was winning this one easily when he went down. Another victory for foggy old London Town.
London 16, Scotland -3, Wales -5, York -8

Immin Northumbria (York) 4-1-1 (3) def. Joseph Saint Mary (London) 2-5-0 by KO(1)
Saint Mary looked otherwise occupied in this, the final fight of the month. Ah well. It didn't really mean anything.
London 14, Scotland -3, Wales -5, York -6

Aye, the third year of boxinge awaits! More and more lists prevail, including one brand new Clubbe as well as a brand new Regione for which the best of the best to fighte for!

Code:
England (region)	W L D KO	Last
