Abe Attell? I wouldda guessed Sailor Tom Sharkey...

But I'll defer to your wisdom, as I only saw them in pictures and fight film...

I like it. Just like the old days when boxing and wrestling went "hand-in-hand" so to speak (wasn't Ring magazine a major wrestling publication, as well as boxing when it was first published)?
Looking good so far.

I believe that you are right about Ring magazine being both a boxing and wrestling magazine. The web site is still a work in progress, as I plan on tweaking it as we go. I may take the rest of the month to build it up and start the wrestling March 31st. As far as boxing, I may start tournaments next week. Just keep your eyes on it.

I'm leaning towards the Huxtables if only because of the numbers game, and
I think 5 and a half versus four may not be a fair fight, but as stated earlier
I'm waiting for a bout between Sailor Tom Sharkey vs Sailor Art Thomas who
happened to be a friend of the family during his wrestling days in Toronto.

To make it fair I will take on Felicia Rashad and Lisa Bonet on the undercard

Y'all just wait til the next match is announced. It will be a "sloberknocker". BTW I start the tournament scene in WCBF next Monday.

A blockbuster of a match will be signed at the end of the day on the CWF page. It will be up on my web site later. Also, there will be a revision of the WCBF. matches will start next week, but, instead of a tournament, we will be holding matches as normal. The first two fighters in each of the weight classes to reach 5 wins with a winning record will fight it out for the title. So it may take a couple of "years" to determin our champions there. Stay tuned folks.

It works. G-rated and no overuse of smileys? Usually it's the G-rated posters who use the most smileys.

Our First Fight Card

J.R.Morgan Productions Press Release:

The first ever World Class Boxing Federation fight card is in the books, and I must say that it was a grand debut to say the least. In the opening bout, Amado Cabato defeated Ever Hammer by a split decision. In the first prelim bout, Carl Morris defeated Leon Spinks by a KO. Here is the call in round 4:
  • Round 4
  • 0:00...Both fighters look determined as the final round gets underway.0:0
  • 0:06...Eddie Inabagsky was extremely upbeat during the break with Leon Spinks providing some solid encouragement.0:0
  • 0:06...The swelling on the face of Spinks is noticeable, even at a distance. Although his corner men were applying cold compresses and trying to work the swelling away from his eyes, Spinks still has distension.0:0
  • 0:15* ...Morris connects with a thundering uppercut and Spinks drops to the canvas!0:0
  • 0:17...Thrasher motions Morris to a neutral corner and starts the count.9:0
  • 0:17.....1...9:0
  • 0:18.....2...9:0
  • 0:19.....3...9:0
  • 0:20.....4...9:0
  • 0:21.....5...9:0
  • 0:22.....6...9:0
  • 0:23.....7...9:0
  • 0:24.....8...9:0
  • 0:25.....9...9:0
  • 0:26.....10...!9:0
  • 0:26* ...The referee reaches 10 and the fight's over. Spinks has just suffered a knockout here in round 4!9:0
In the second prelim bout, Ron Richards defeated Mike Lucie fought to a majority decision. In the support bout, the Esteban de Jesus Morales, Sam Bolen bout went the distance without a winner.

In the co-feature, Steve Halaiko defeated Livio Minelli by a split decision. In the main event, Benny Marks won a majority decision over his worthy oponent, Gabriel Bernal.

J.R.Morgan Productions, who own the WCBF, promises another action packed card next week.
