Revamped site and first fight report
Hey folks, sorry for not making an apperance, but I decided to revamp and re-do my web site. I went to Tripod, and set up the site as a boxing only site, with the option of adding wrestling and MMA. The addy is here:
World Class Boxing Federation And here is the first report. April 1, 2008 Floyd Patterson goes down! Chances at future title match dims! In what was a stunner, Floyd Patterson loses a fight that he was winning handly. The winner, Audley Harrison, scored the historic TKO in the tenth. Harrison sent Patterson down at 0:37 in the 1st with a hook to the head. Patterson returned the favor at 2:43 in the 8th round, landing a hard cross to the head. A short combination sent Harrison to the mat again at 1:43 in the 9th round. At 2:59 in the same round, Harrison went down one more time after eating a cross thrown by Patterson. Patterson seemed on his way to victory until 1:57 in the 10th after Harrison worked the body and landed a shot which sent Patterson to his knees. Patterson told the referee that he could not continue, giving Harrison an unexpected victory. This loss dims Paterson's hopes of being included in a future title fight anytime soon. In the opener, Rudi Koopmans scored a unanimous decision over Zdravko Kostic in a light heavyweight bout. The featherweights took to the ring as Felipe Orozco won a majority decision over Paulino Villalobos. Also, Jimmy Slattery won his fight over Germinal Ballarin. In one of two heavyweight fights, Wladimir Klitschko continued his outstanding career as he scored a majority decision over George Chuvalo. And in the main event, Sumbu Kalambay landed a hook to the chin at 2:09 in the 3rd for a knockout win over Stanley Ketchel. |

Friday Fight Night-April 4, 2008 Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot, Puerto Rico It was a great night of boxing in Puerto Rico tonight as the main event saw Jack Trammell knock out Steve Hamas at 2:13 in the 5th round to win his heavyweight fight. Trammell scored with a straight right hand to stun Hamas, and then it ended when Trammell threw a combination to put Hamas down. Trammell is among those heavyweights who are jocking for position in the up comming fight for the WBCF Heavyweight title. Another heavyweight making noise is Johnny DuPlooy, who scored a 6th round TKO over fellow heavyweight Andrew Golota. The trouble started in at 1:07 in the 4th when DuPlooy and Golota butted heads accidentally, creating a nasty cut on Golota's nose, making Golota a bloody mess. The fight resumed after the fight doctor looked over the cut. At 0:56 in the 5th, DuPlooy landed a wicked uppercut to the head of Golota, sending him down to the mat for a manditory 8 count. The end came at 0:52 in the 6th, when DuPlooy landed a shot which re-opened the cut on Golota's nose. The fight doctor deemed it serious enough to stop the match at 0:56 in the 6th. Golota's title hopes dimmed after this devistating loss. In other action, The lightweights opened the night as Eddie Alzek and Lamont Pearson fought to a draw. Judge Roberto Ramirez, Puerto Rico scored the bout 38 to 38 even. Judge Richard DeCarufel, Canada scored the bout 39 to 37 for Lamont Pearson, and Judge Pawel Kardyni, Poland scored the bout 39 to 37 for Eddie Alzek. In the second fight of the night, again lightweights, Willie Toweel earned a majority decision over his oponent, Ali Funeka. In the third bout, welterweight Pipino Cuevas also went the distance and earned a majority decision over fellow welterweight, Antonio Margarito. In the fourth match of the night, featherweight Min-Keun Oh scored a 2nd round TKO over Jacob Hyams, when Min-Keun Oh opened up a nasty cut over Hyams' eye, which was deemed to severe to continue the fight. |
