Judges All fights will be judged by randomly selected judges. Each team owner will be allowed to create one judge, and this pool of judges will be drawn from for all fights. The only limit on judge creation will be as follows: No judge may have a "high score" rating below 50. 4. Founder Authority The League Founder retains the right to expel any owner from the league for any reason. 9. Future Expansion I have every intension of expanding this league as my organizational skills will allow, so others may join soon. C. Transactions 1. Roster Maintenance It is not necessary to maintain a 13-man roster, but any time a team has no fighter available for a given match, the match is forfeited. All team rosters must be updated by a time that will be determined later. 2. Fighter Release Any fighter may be released at any time with a PM to the League Founder. 3. Waivers All fighters are considered "on waivers" for 24 hours after the moment their release is announced by the League Founder. During this time, requests for the fighter may be made. If more than one team requests the same fighter, he will be awarded to the team that is lowest in the standings at that time. 4. Non-Waiver Acquisitions Free agent fighter who have cleared waivers may be claimed with a PM to the League Founder. 5. Trades Trades of fighters or draft picks are allowed at any time, but are subject to veto by the league founder. However, a Founder veto may be overridden by a majority vote of league owners. Trades made by the Founder may be vetoed by league owner majority. 6. Inaugural Draft The NBL will begin with a 15-round, serpentine draft, where any available fighter or trainer may be taken. Available fighters will be published by the Founder at a later date. 7. Supplemental Draft Each year in December, the league hold a 3 round supplemental draft. The number of fighters released into the draft will equal (number of teams x 4). These fighters will be distributed among weight classes and ratings semi-randomly. Each team may request one fighter to be included in the draft. If a slot of that fighter's rating and weight class is selected to be in the draft class, the fighter will take the spot. 8. Personnel Retension Each team will be required to release 5 personnel at the end of the regular season.. These 5 may be any combination of fighters or cornermen. These fighters will not be available for acquisition until the Supplemental Draft.. 9. Cornerman Retension No Cornerman may be retained for more than 5 consecutive seasons. At the end of his 5th season, as in any other, a cornerman may be released as one of his team's 4 mandatory releases. |

I have two more open spots in this league. I have sent out invites, but if I don't hear back from those I invited, I will open it up to everyone else. The invites were nothing personal, just a few of the folks I've had more contact with in my short time here. If you would like in and it fills up, I have every intension of expanding the league after a season. I am hoping that season will take no longer than two months to run in real time.
If you interested, please send me a PM. Last edited by atomzero : 04-10-2008 at 08:49 PM. |

Will there be a total team cap for ratings points per team. If not, all the top-rated guys will be used up quickly.
The UTBA used a hard team cap that worked quite well. Good luck

The league has filled. Here are our inaugural owners:
Myself bear Mad Bomber Jeff1787 My buddy who has joined the board, but whose handle I am unaware of My bro as soon as he gets his butt on the board. I didn't get replies to all of the invites, so if anyone who got one would like to join, let me know and I'll expand the league to 8. Feel free to name your teams now. No rules here, just nothing too obsene please. The draft pool will consist of 7 randomly chosen fighters for each roster spot: 21 HW 7 LHW 14 MW 14 WW 14 LW 7 FW 7 BW 7 FLY If you have any fighter requests, please send them to me. Just a heads up, I took the time to find the actual distribution of ratings, and will use those statistics to determine the random fighter slots, so generally, the higher the rating, the less chance there will be a place for the fighter you request. Don't let it stop you from requesting, I just wanted you all to know in advance. As soon as I have all of the team names, I will randomly determine the draft order. As it is a serpentine draft, the order should not make too much of a difference. I've tested my draft and transaction rules, and I don't feel that this league will require a salary cap. If we decide along the road that it truly does, then we can always change that. Last edited by atomzero : 04-11-2008 at 08:22 PM. |
