UTBA II League rules......Poll number 3

Vote Yes if you want to do away with the Gold & Silver conferences.
Vote No if you want the UTBA II to be formatted like the old version.

The UTBA has always had two Conferences. The only way a team from one conference would meet one from the other conference would be in the UTBA team Championship.

If we do away with the conferences, all teams would eventually meet one another over the course of 3 or 4 seasons.

Going to vote no as I like the idea that we'll get to fight all the other teams eventually. It kind of sucked knowing I would never get a match against most of the Silver conference in the original system.

That's the main reason I think it should be changed. This is for fun, after all, and it's not as much fun if you know you'll only be going up against certain teams if you happen to make the Championship round. I would have loved to see a Muckboys-Oakland Assassins matchup in the old UTBA.

Besides that, it's not really fair if the two best teams are in the same conference. Only one of them can make the Championship.

Yep, I agree with pretty much everything there. Yeah, a Muckboys/Assassins match would have been fun also I know I'm speaking for all of the Gold owners when I say we would have loved to have faced off against the Roughnecks in the Old UTBA.

I like a title match between 2 teams that have never faced each before. Only 1 way to assure that. Keep the confrences.

Maybe Scot can put up a poll to have the owners vote to make Lee start over with his entire UTBA-I roster to keep the streak alive...

I could do that (poll) but I'm pretty sure it would sure it would be a 100% vote in favor of keeping the Roughnecks roster from the UTBA intact.

So lets just go ahead and make it so........... I'm sure Lee won't mind.

Definitely no on this one. I like the rivalries that develop in a two conference set-up.

I also agree with Claybor - it's fun to see two teams meet who have not fought during the season. Leaves the championship much more in doubt.

Yes Lee keeps losing and I always finish in second place, out of the playoffs. That's the only way the world makes sense!

Just make sure to move the Roughnecks over to the Gold Conference since the rest of us deserve a chance to beat up Lee's boys.

You could consider that a troll vote as he never visits here usually.

If it ends in a tie, we will stand pat with what we have (two conferences).

That's the fair thing to do since it looks like I'll have voting rights as an owner from the get go so I can't use the commish powers to break the tie.

*Edit - the reason I'm holding off on voting is to see if somebody takes the team spot I currently have.

I have not voted on this one yet. I don't have a strong opinion in either direction.

I haven't voted as I'm not entirely sure of the pros/cons of the old system being new this season.

But I wouldn't mind some type of NFL-like schedule where non-conference (non-division?) opponents are rotated, so you get to play everyone once every few seasons.
