There shouldn't be any limits...only the cap. If I want Rocky Marciano, Mickey Walker, and Henry Armstrong...I'm going to be very weak in other spots.

I'm good with limits ... keeps the game and the database fresh. There were limits with the initial roster in the orginal also.

Why would we even allow any keepers? Isn't this a fresh start.

I'd prefer a fresh start.

I'd prefer to have my whole team back that was on the verge of juggernaut status.

However, we have new people and some who would rather forget the teams that they had. A fresh start seems more appropriate to me but I'll be happy with whatever the consensus is.

I also would prefer a complet fresh start. The UTBA-I veterans can slowly be filtered back in via the draft following Season 1.

BTW, if it is decided to have former UTBA-I owners retain 3 guys from their old rosters, Tomato City will probably not pick any of the high rated guys. Finding a middle/low rated guy that is actually productive can be more important to a team's success than a single superstar...

I didn't know my team was that highly thought of.

I would rather keep my team but I can live with a fresh start. I think it is a mistake to limit the rosters to fighters with 10 ratings or less. It takes too many great fighters out of the process and makes it less fun.

If you aren't going to allow players who were in the league to be drafted then I think the least thing that could be done is allow 2-4 keepers from your previous team.

I don't really have a problem with each team being able to pick 1 fighter 10 or above, but being able to pick multiples hurts the league in the long run.

This seems to be getting more complicated then it needs to be ... also seems to be a lot of whining when there wasn't in the previous league .. hopefully this can still be as fun but the tone starting out doesn't seem like it will be.

Just put things up for a vote and we will just keep voting on rules and start the new league sometime in 2010.

Keep in mind that the league will only be devoid of fighters rated over 10 for Season 1.

11+ rated fighters will be available (in limited quantity) for the Season 2 draft.

I still feel that 11+ rated guys should be treated as "superstars" of the league and therefore not overwhelmingly commonplace on everyone's roster.

Once Season 1 has completed and the draft order is set, the worst performing teams should get the opportunity to draft an available "superstar". If any owner is so hell-bent on having one of these guys on thier roster, just pick a lousy initial Season 1 team and tank the season to guarantee a good draft spot in Season 2.

I fail to see how this league will not be enjoyable based on the fact that everyone does not have a roster packed with top-rated fighters.

Until A-Rod has a ring, I really couldn't care less that he's not on my team.

sorry lack of sleep post ... and it wasn't directed at anyone in particular esp. not Chris who I quoted .... that said I think the commissioner and co-commissioner should just make some decisions and the rest of us can live with them.
