Don't worry. You've got the #1 pick in the Season 4 Draft.

Also, you will have a bunch of fighters entering Prime next season which should help out.

Marciano came on strong to finish the season. Next season he should be a monster

Hopefully, over the next couple of days, I will put together profiles for the MVP, ROY and CBF Awards.

Season Ending Awards Question

I wanted to throw this out there to if there is any interest in changing the way voting for the ROY, MVP & CBF awards occurs.

Right now, team owners can only vote for fighters in their own conferences. I have received a few requests (don't remember who) asking if the Gold Conference owners could vote for awards in the Silver Conference and vice-versa.

I think this is a good idea, as I am for anything that will increase the number of votes cast for these awards. In past seasons, a few of the catagories have had less than 50% participation.

Also, I was wondering if I should post the ballots in a Poll on the board, instead of in the main UTBA-II thread. That way, it is easier to find. By doing this, the voting structure would also have to change from each owner getting weighted votes to a single vote.

I also think it is not a bad idea to let other members of the board who may follow the league to vote as well.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

1. I would prefer to have the voting open to everyone

2. A poll would be much better in my opinion as well. Just make it public and let me, Bear or Lee know if any non-members vote as we can edit out their votes for you.

Draft Picks.................

The Nebraska CornJabbers are offering their 2nd and 3rd round draft pick this season for a 2nd round pick next season and also their 1st rounder this year for a 1st rounder next season.

First come first serve. Don't all line up at once.

I like the ideas of:
- allowing non-league members to vote
- posting ballots in a Poll on the board
- being able to vote for awards in both conferences, regardless of which conference you belong to

I put a temporary sticky on the voting threads so we can keep them together until the polls are closed.

The Poll for the Gold Conference ROY Award is now up. This season, there was pretty slim pickings for candidates in both conferences.

I will put together the candidate lists for the CBF (Comeback Fighter Of The Year) as well as update the rest of the Team Roster pages (6 of 24 complete).

After that, I should be ready to run the Divisional Playoffs. Hopefully this will occur in a day or two. I have some other stats to compile such as the All-Time records for Points Scored in a Season by Weight Class per team, but that can wait for a while.

The CBF candidate profiles take a bit of time since I need to compare Season 2 records against the Season 3 records.

I hope everyone is happy with the polls this time around. From the feedback above, I think it is a better option - as well as allowing you to vote for guys in the other conference.
