I think the Haymakers might be ripe for the picking, and the only reason I say that is, as Tex Cobb once said after his fight with Larry Holmes, after a beating like the one he handed me the first time I don't think his fighters hands can take that abuse again. LOL

Its great how we can build our own "underdog legends". Many probably never heard of Joe Symonds and now he is a UTBA hero..LOL. Good stuff with the stats..as usual. Really amazing that a 4 rated fighter could perform that well...I want to know your rating system Chris. It is definitely working. Not only a lot of wins but 10 knockouts..man,talk about getting bang for the buck..he has already paid his dues in the UTBA. Peace.

Yeah,I get that feeling too. I cant quite remember but dont we now have a contingency plan for the "wrath of god" scenario? I hope Sal and his family are safe and sound. Lot of crazy weather in that area the last few months. Hell, lot of crazy weather everywhere these days. Peace.

I put all fighters together rated 4-10 with weight adjustments off. I fought them with the scheduler randomly until everyone had a minimum of I believe 50 fights. Then I sorted by performance points and plucked the top fighter at each rating from 8 down to 4 by PP. The divisions where I ended up with 3 guys had the bottom one dropped and I searched for the next bext guy and so on. That's how I selected the initial team and found little Joey Symonds. However, he wasn't this good! |

Hey guys.............God is leaving me alone and I'm not lost or anything.
![]() Just haven't had time to check in this past week. My daughter surprised me last week by buying a house instead of renting one for college. I've been very busy helping her with the closing and of course the moving. Should be able to put up a couple of matches late tonight and finish week 9 by this weekend. Sorry for the delay.......but my daughter informed me she comes first before boxing. |

I always wished that Cobb would have been more successful. His quoteability was so wonderful I wish it could have been more mainstream

T'is a fine broth of a lad ye be, Scot, and we're glad to hear all is OK! I didn't think your absence was from having a heart attack after the Binks virtually tied Diggstown. Buying makes sense in the long run! Gives me more time to write the next Gazette!

Tomato City, we're looking like the Yankees and Red Sox down the stretch! First place is yours again, congrats. Looks like we'll be deciding the division winner next week against each other.
Congrats to the Muckboys on their win. |

Nice showing against the Dusk Owls, Romy. Your win gave new life to Tomato City. I don't have very high hopes on winning next week against them, but a win would have Tomato City finishing a pitiful 5-5-0 for the season and maybe win the division. Wishful thinking for the playoffs and eventual pounding leading to an early exit.
