UTBA-II Owners Cup
Team owners of the UTBA-II league joined forces today and decided to start a new universe. Owners have watched their teams win and suffer in league play, had squabbles among themselves and the commissioner, so they decided what better way to settle their disputes than in the ring. So they made it happen.
Welcome to the UTBA-II Owners Cup universe. The universe is made up of only 22 fighters. The 22 being the owners of teams in the UTBA-II league. All fighters will meet one another during a season once while trying to win one of the minor, major or world title belts the universe has to offer. The big goal for the fighters each season will be to qualify for the year ending Owners Cup competition and represent their respective major group for bragging rights. Who's better, the East or the West? The 22 owners (fighters) will be split into two major groups of 11 fighters each. One group will be named the Eastern Global Group (EGG) and the other is the Western International Group (WIG). The two major groups will be split into two minor groups. The EGG will have the British Imperial Group (BIG) & Atlantic Inter-States Republic (AIR). The WIG's two minor groups will be named the Great Lakes Association Group (GAG) & Mid-USA Inter-States Group (MIG). Each group, major and minor will have their own individual titles to hand out and there will be one and only one World Title, the Owners Cup Union Powers Title (OCUP). All fighters (owners) in the universe will be eligible for the world title (OCUP). Major and Minor titles. Fighters will only be able to claim a title within their own group. If a champion loses in a title fight to someone outside their own group, the title will become vacant. Vacant titles will be filled only when the #1 and #2 ranked fighter meet within the group (major, minor) where the title is vacant. When a fighter wins the world title, he must give up any major or minor straps he currently wears. The world title will always be at stake anytime the title holder fights and will change waist lines immediately if he loses. The winning fighter will gain the OCUP title immediately no matter which group he is in. A little about the rules.
Owners Cup:

I'm waiting on the vitals from two UTBA owners to finish setting the major and minor groups up. The fighters have been created and now all I have to do is fill in the blanks on the rating screen. This universe should see its first action by the middle of next week.
A list of the groups will be posted and who's in them will be posted shortly.

I had to do a little switching around. Two owners did not sign up to play along.
I changed one of the group names and swapped a few of the fighters around to make it a little more geographic to the owners birthplace. |

Must be in witness protection or something. Anyways, we are the only two Eastern guys in our division. If I can't win I'll root for you except when we go at it.

Fighter Facts and Stats
Note on the fighter ratings. I used the RFG and asked for 60 (13) rated fighters. I took the best 22 and randomly assigned them to our real names. Also, all fighters are rated seldom in the fouls category and 10 in proficiency, draw power and intellect.
Here's a few highlights of leaders in offensive and deffensive fighter ratings: Hitting power leaders: (13) Mike Hanson (13) Don Koss (12) Jeremy Bergey (12) Hugh Phillips Punches landed: (46) Romy Alvarez (46) Ian Lord (44) 10 fighters tied Control factor boxer: (15) Romy Alvarez (15) Lee Crooks (15) Mark L. Elwood (15) Mark A. Jones Control factor slugger: (15) Romy Alvarez (15) Mark L. Elwood (15) Mark A. Jones (15) Tommy Roberto Defense: (-6) Kerwin Uy (-6) Shane Macleod (-6) Ian Lord (-6) Mark A. Jones (-6) Romy Alvarez Punches missed: (55) Mark A. Jones (56) Greg Gorecky (57) Dan Young (57) Ian Lord |

Roberto scores two knockdowns, one in the 5th for an eight count and then followed with another in the 6th. The man from Canada manages a draw after suffering the two knockdowns. ![]() |
