Rosenbloom KO's Mike Tyson
0:00 Something's wrong. The bell should have sounded to start...there it goes. Both fighters got a few extra seconds rest here at the start of Round 9. 0:0 0:08 A minute wasn't enough to eliminate or even significantly reduce Tyson's swelling. They'll have to keep a close watch on it and make sure Tyson's vision doesn't become a major problem over the next few rounds. 0:0 0:08 Rosenbloom's corner is an experienced crew but the swelling he's suffered looks almost as bad as it did before the minute break. 0:0 0:13 Tyson voluntarily moves onto the ropes. 0:0 0:26 Rosenbloom lets his hands go but his punches land on the arms of Tyson. 0:0 0:33 Tyson lands a devastating uppercut! 4:0 0:33 Rosenbloom is hurt and he had better reach deep if he's going to continue! 4:0 0:37 The swelling under Rosenbloom's left eye is growing to a point where the eye could end up shut if his corner can't reduce or at least control it. 4:0 0:46 Tyson slides into a neutral corner... 4:0 0:46 Rosenbloom catches Tyson with an uppercut as he tries to duck. 4:2 01:06 * Rosenbloom throws a wild overhand right that lands flush! Tyson drops to one knee and will take the count! 4:2 01:09 Champion crouches over Tyson and begins to count.. 4:11 01:09 1... 4:11 01:10 2... 4:11 01:11 3... 4:11 01:12 4... 4:11 01:13 5... 4:11 01:14 6... 4:11 01:15 Tyson is in bad shape as he tries to regain his feet. 4:11 01:16 8... 4:11 01:17 9... 4:11 01:18 10! 4:11 01:18 * It's all over. Maxie Rosenbloom raises his arms in victory as the referee counts 10. Tyson stares blankly into the crowd, still wondering what just happened. 4:11

Good one Jim. It was the 9th round Tyson was probably exhausted, and wondering why Maxie was still standing.

Poor Mike. I hope that was the "lesser" version who fought Maxie? Either way, I can picture Mike in the post fight interview saying, "I just don't have the stomach for this anymore. My heart's not in it anymore like it was."

Perhaps it's just me. but I would prefer to think that when you have a corner that consists of Mannie Seamon & Whitey Bimstein that is just to much for Tyson & Kevin Rooney to handle. Bimstein & Seamon could map out a fight plan that Rooney could only dream about.
