Two will do!!! I agree with Matt. You ARE the Commish, Scot. I appreciate the effort you have put in. We are getting quite a change in the new President. Let's keep our Commish!

With 16.67% of the precincts reporting in, and after viewing the results of exit polls taken by the eminent Title Bout reporters, it looks like the chances for Option 2 are promising, though, as not all parts of the country have been heard from, it may be too early to tell!

I agree on number 2.
As much as democracy is useful in some cases it can big a major headache in a lot of cases as well. With that said later next week I will be able to help with this much like I did when we ran the minor league draft. Unfortunately at this point I am just trying to play catch up and not miss my pick so I havent had the time to help out. Do what you need to do Scot, once everyone has become familiar with the draft Im certain everything will go much smoother. Last edited by jbergey22; 11-05-2008 at 06:11 PM. |

Add another vote to option 2. You're the bossman SAL you do what you need to do to get this thing running like you want.

Can you say what the changes are to the draft and how they conflict/conform to the posted rules and the precedent established by this draft so far?

I don't know what has prompted this. While the draft itself has not gone well so far, I don't see a great outcry for Scot (SAL) to step down as commissioner.
From what I see, this draft has been an experiment in the sense that it is quite different than what was used for 5 seasons in the original UTBA. Being that members of the league are scattered across different time-zones, it seems to me that not picking from a posted list of draftees with a 12-hour time limit per pick is not working. Whether it be confusion of the rules, computer issues, or no/limited access to the TBCB 2.5 database, there are too many variables out there to be overseen by 1 person. Even with 3 of us monitoring the Draft thread, it still has become a major infringement on real-life. I don't know what changes are in store when the "dictatorship" takes place in option #2, but I support anything that Scot chooses. On the other hand, if Scot chooses to step aside, I am willing to take over the league (for better or worse). I cannot guarrantee that things will run as smoothly if Scot chooses hand it over. I just want to make this clear - I do not want Scot to step down and I AM NOT looking to take over the league - just simply stating that if for whatever reason Scot feels that he is fed up or cannot set aside the time due to work/family commitments, I will volunteer to keep the UTBA-II alive. |

I am basically here just to hang out with you guys and talk some $#!& about boxing. I enjoy the UTBA, and as of right now it and KC's upcoming uni are the only TBCB I am involved with. (My own attempts at getting a universe going have not gone well in quite some time.)
I hope Scot decides to stick around, but whatever decisions are made I sure hope we can keep things going. |

The reporters, perhaps a bit inaccurately after a few brews
, tally 12 in favor of Scot doing what he needs to do, 1 who would, if needed, assume the mantle (though he voted for option 2), and 1 who would like more info. Scot, I promise to either write a year-end, new season Bink Gazette or not write one if you decide to stay on and do what you decide must be done![]() ![]() . If the rest of you guys chime in and tell me not to write a Gazette, my feelings will be hurt, but I'll survive!![]() ![]() I can't wait, or can I, for another season of being thumped by you guys! Mel Turnbow forever!![]()

I hope my goof in picking Norton(already taken)didnt cause all this! I sent a request to draft Vitaly Klitschko after I realised that Norton was already taken. I was away from my home pc for 48 hours and was just trying to hurry and make a pick so the draft could go on. Anyway,if I caused this,I am sorry. As for Scot leaving as commish,I think it should be entirely up to him and if he has the time. He has done a great job in my opinion but it is a time consuming task if you run the league on a regular basis(one weeks play per week). I usually send in my picks for a draft, however,I thought I would be present for this one but had an illness in the family. Sorry if I screwed things up.

I'm checking in ...
... but not voting. As a charter member and regular participant, I obviously care about the league. Not sure what precipitated this, but I'm in no position to do no. 1 or no. 3, so I'll just have to go along for now.
Scot and I have known each other for a while and been able to work beyond any other differences, so I am confident this will work out if we all just work together.
