I personally think Scot should stay and whatever rules he puts in place are fine with me. If I miss a pick or screw up,then I am willing to pay the price. I do think we should have a fairly regular schedule. It is hard to keep up when we have long periods of down time and such. I think backup plans should be in place for both commisioner and players. Still, whatever Scot chooses to do with the league is fine by me. He has put many, many hours into this league and deserves the right to run it the way he needs. I think we should just have backup plans in case anyone cant make it...things happen that cannot be avoided and we need to be able to keep the league moving when someone is not available for an extended period of time. Substitute commish ready and a plan ready for someone to run any team where the coach is absent as well. That would assure smooth play and a schedule that we could all rely on and get accustomed to using.

Looks like 14 vote for me to stay in office so far and that will be a simple majority.

I never wanted to stop running the league. I enjoy it and interacting with you guys.

I will need to make some changes in the operations of this league to fit my personal schedule in life. Some will have no problems with it and I know some will. For the ones that will have problems with what I do, I'm saying sorry now and what I decide needs to be done will be the way it works. I've always tried to be flexible with the rules and work around everybody's schedule but I see that can no longer work.

I'll post the new drafting schedule tonight. For the owners that have already made a pick, you will keep your picks and we'll start from where the draft stopped.

I support option 2 also, as I think you do an outstanding job running a universe that brings together people from so many countries that have a passion for the sport.

Also my ongoing computer issues did not get us off to a very good start, and is a source of great frustration also. Keep up the good work, as it is greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion: As it stands now, each round could take 12 days (24 picks * a half a day each), not counting any exceptions that have/will be granted.

Instead, how about this process?
1) Everyone PM their first-round picks to Scot.
2) Scot publishes the list up to the point of any conflict (with the first drafting team obviously getting the guy).
3) The team who duplicated a previous pick gets 24 hours to make its replacement pick (and can see who has been taken already, so it's not like this stage can have more than one step)
4) Repeat for Rounds 2 and 3.

Given the variety of weight classes and overall rankings available, how many dupes will there be per round? Even if there are four, the round is over in four days, not 12. [Edit: Actually, perhaps even quicker, since a PM regarding dupe picks can go out simultaneously to all those involved and not have to wait until that pick comes up]

Scot, if you can't be hands-on enough to moderate this process at the moment, I would be more than happy to do it. I don't want to run the league, but I have plenty of time on my hands the next couple weeks to get this done, if this an agreeable format.

option 2, maybe we could focus like in the past on a specific day.

I liked the 'live' approach that we had to the draft as well Lee. I can't say though which approach presents a larger burden to Scot. I also like the idea Thunder has - Once Scot has the PMs, he can do it when he has time and not be tied to a thread in the forum.

Option 2 is good. I'm brand new to this, but #2 makes logical sense to me as well.

It works for people who have flexible schedules and weekends at home.

This weekend, I have class all night Friday and all day Saturday. And Sunday is the only chance I'll have to spend with my son, so would be entirely shut out if the draft happens "live" this weekend.

I move that we have round one on Friday night and wrap up rounds two and three on Saturday.

Do I have a second?

Details for the draft will be posted in the next 2 or 3 hours. I've already sent Matt a PM concerning his post.

New Drafting Schedule.........

The draft will resume on Saturday, November 8 beginning at 08:00 pm CST. All 3 rounds will be held on November 8th & 9th during three separate 4 hour time blocks.

Each team will have 5 minutes to make a selection. Times are posted next to the draft order numbers.

If you see that you will not be able to make a pick in your alloted time frame, send me a PM of who you wish to choose and I'll make the pick for you.

Also, you do not have to wait for your time slot in the draft if the team ahead of you in the draft has already made their pick. You can draft early if it is your turn.

note: All remaining rating numbers left in the draft pool that were not drafted, will be discarded when the draft has concluded. Any fighter with or without a record left remaining in the draft pool, will be added back to the waiver pool.

note: The 105 team cap is waived during the draft. When the draft is over, I will give all owners 48 hours to reduce their roster to 16 fighters (2 fighters in each weight class) still with no cap restrictions. Once the 48 hours are up, any team that has not reduced their roster to 16 fighters, I will do so for them. After all the teams rosters are back at 16 fighters, I'll open the waiver pool up for 7 days, 24 hour periods each day so owners can get their team cap back to 105 or lower. If needed, I'll extend the waivers for more than 7 days.

The Oakland Assasins will officially be on the clock November 8 @ 08:30 pm CST and will have 5 minutes at that time to make a selection. If Oakland so desires, they can make their selection anytime they want between now and their drafting time deadline since the 3 teams ahead of them have already made their selections.
