This is my third crack at this. In 2005 (I think) I started a mixed era universe in 1900. It expanded to over 8,000 active fighters, Rocky Lin lost and the whole thing crumbled under it's own weight. The second attempt was at the start of 2007 when I made it a historical universe that began in 1780. By the time that I got to 1810 or so, I wished that I had started earlier.
So, with some initial files that Bear created, I am going way back. This universe started in 1695 and currently is in 1725. I have an emormous amount of fighter information gleened from Fistiana, American Fistiana, Boxiana, CBZ, numerous books and a few articles (some provided by Don). I'll be creating files as I go though I have a number from Bear as well. A quick look at where things stand now can be had here: English Title Lineage French Title Lineage Irish Title Lineage Scottish Title Lineage Fighter Gallary - Records from the first thirty years Before diving in to this, I want to run a poll to elect the first members of the REC Gallery of the Gallant (my Hall of Fame) from those that have retired over the first 30 years of this.

Damn, Barcenas and Gamez for starting the decline of the first Picayune especially since Danza was denied his rightful shot at the MW crown due to it's collapse. Good to see you back at it Chris, looking forward to digging through the history of this uni.

You went where I was pondering going and added the Tiger King.
Thought about adding some of the Oriental fighters from the Kronos history pages. I'd be interested in seeing their files. Kronos is a history of the martial arts by Joseph R. Svinth, a EJAMAS Kronos: A Chronological History of the Martial Arts and Combative Sports bear

The pic of Sorasak is reportedly a contemporary painting of him engaging in a precursor to Muay Thai. The other two are just phony pics that I use.

Are you using Excel for the newspaper layout? I remember reading that Excel spreadsheets and this board were now compatible. The text and layout came out nice!

That's just Word Jim. I turn it into a png file though to upload here. According to Lee, Word does not work with the board in the same way that Excel does.
