All Time Greatest Tourney - Infinity Style

I've come up with something I don't think I've seen done on the forums yet....

The concept is simple. Each country will hold a tourney in each weight class to determine the best of the best for their country. Once that's been decided, there will be a world wide tourney to determine the greatest fighter of all time world wide!

1. Each country may only have one entry per weight class.
2. Each fight will be 15 rounds throughout the tourney.
3. All Fighters in the Data Base will be used
4. All fights will be scored on the round system
5. A fight can only be saved by the bell in the final round
6. A country will be defined by the flag that the DB shows for that fighter.
7. No 3 knockdown rule
8. I'll do each country in Alpha order.
9. If there's only one fighter in a weight class for a country, then that will be the entrant for that country in the world tournament.
10. All portions of the tourney will be seeded based on the fighters rating, and will be re-seeded after each round.

I'll still be running my other Uni, but this idea came to me like a lightning bolt, and I just had to act!...lol

Elvir Muriqi LHW
Nuri Seferi CW

Both fighters are the sole representatives for their country, thus earn an automatic berth into the tourney.

The following fighters will advance due to their being the only entrants in their weight class:

Amar Amari - JMW
Affif Djelti - JLW
Rachid Kanfouah - LHW

Aissa Hashas defeated Tarik Amrouse by TKO (cuts) in the 7th round to advance to the world finals - JWW

Mohammed Benguesmia outlasted a tough Mohamed Azzaoui to earn a 6 TKO on cuts. It was unfortunate that the cut was so deep that it reopened 3 times in the final 4 rounds to force the stop in a good action bout! Benguesmia will represent his country as a CW.

In the Middleweight finals Mohamed Boualleg met Loucif Hamani in a bout shortened by cuts. This was good news and bad news for the bloodied Boualleg who sported bleeding cuts over both eyes after this one. The cut over the right eye was incurred in the first round as the result of an accidental butt. Since the fight was stopped in the 5th, the fight went to the judges. The bad news was all 3 judges scored it 2-1 for Loucif Hamani who will move into the world tourney!

As there were 3 Lightweights available for this tourney, the 2 highest seeds (both rated 6) flipped a coin to see who earned a bye. Lahouari Godih will meet the winner of the fight between Ould Makloufi and Hoacine Khalfi.

Ould Makloufi outlasted an over matched but game Hoacine Khalfi in this one. Khalfi scored 3 knockdowns to Makloufi's one despite having his right eye swollen nearly shut for the latter half of the fight. The fight was finally stopped when the eye closed totally in the 13th for a TKO! Makloufi landed an amazing 492-957 punches (51.4% compared to 187 of 1279 (14.6%) for Khalfi which told the difference in the end.

Ould Makloufi vs Lahouari Godih - Good action bout that left Makloufi battered and bloodied. I had it 5-5 due to a low blow in the 15th round by Godih, but the judges scored it 8-4 7-6 7-5 for Godih who moves forward to the World Tournament!

Mohamed Bellatreche vs Mohammed Chickaoui FW - This was about one sided as could be with all 3 judges scoring it 15-0 for Mohammed Chickaoui. He scored 1 knockdown, but otherwise was content to punish his man from a distance throughout. Chickaoui will fight in the World Tournament.

FINALS:

Gregorio Peralta 3-0-0 (1) vs Alberto Santiago Lovell 3-0-0 (3) -Lovell opened a cut early and reopened it no less than 6 times before the fight was finally stopped for a TKO in the 9th in this brutal battle of 2 sluggers! The underdog Lovell will move on to the World Tournament!

Only 4 combatants for the CW entry this time around:

Marcelo Dominguez vs Cesar David Crenz - Dominguez on a 9th round TKO due to cuts.
Dario Walter Matteoni vs Victor Emilio Ramirez - 15 TKO in a hotly contested bout for Ramirez. It's a shame that it had to end in such a fashion as the scores were close, 7-6 on all 3 cards for Ramirez.

FINALS:

Marcelo Dominguez vs Victor Emilio Ramirez - 5 fouls later, Dominguez is finally DQ'd for a low blow! Is it just me or are Argentinian fighters taught to ignore the rules? That 2 weight classes where one of the favorites has been disqualified. Dominguea was up 5-2 5-4 5-3 at the time the fight was ended.

ROUND 1a:

Guillermo Gimenez vs Eduardo Morales - Gimenez upsets Morales with a 15th round Split Decision.
Ricardo Silva vs Victor Hugo Paz - Paz wins what was a close fight when Silva suddenly and very obviously used his head as a weapon to earn a DQ in the 10th. Paz continues on.

ROUND 1B:

ROUND 2:

Luis Federico Thompson vs Fabian Tejeda - Thompson wins handily with the 15 UD
Carlos Aro vs Justo Suarez - These 2 fight to a technical draw through 12.

REMATCH:

Carlos Aro vs Justo Suarez - This one goes the distance as Suarez pulls out the upset win.

FINALS:

Luis Federico Thompson vs Justo Suarez - Thompson lands a low blow in the 3rd and the referee is way too quick to pull the plug handing Suarez the unlikely upset. Thompson is rated 11 to a 6 by Suarez. Yet another major star from Argentina to be disqualified!

Vicente Derado vs Pedro Armando Gutierrez - Derado built up a huge lead only to have a cut reopen in the 15th to end the fight with 1 minute left. Guitierrez gets the 15 TKO.

ROUND 2:

Carlos Ruben Canete vs Pedro Armando Gutierrez - Canete earns the 15 UD rather handily to advance.

8 fighters makes for easy pairings...yay!...lol

ROUND 1:

Sergio Palma vs Jose Saez - Palma destroyed Saez for a 1st round TKO on cuts. The referee was considering stopping the fight before the cut, and I think used it as the excuse to save Saez from further harm.

Sergio Manuel Medina vs Sergio Rafael Liendo - Medina scored 3 knockdowns along the way to earn a 15 UD.
