Round 3 - Bout 1 Result
Miguel Canto (#5) UD12 Ricardo Lopez (#4)
MGM Grand, Las Vegas Canto dismantled Lopez. On top throughout Canto counterpunched his way to a wide margin victory. Some at ringside speculated that Lopez did not look as honed as he might and he paid the price. Everytime he tried to go inside on Canto he was met with a slicing jab or a rapier right cross. Hampered from the sixth round onwards by a cut over his right eye, Lopez was running on empty for the last few rounds. Canto cruised home to an impressive win. Next up...... |

I missed this. Ugh, I hate moving Tom. After the 2003 shuffle that we did, I have vowed to dies in this house. We still have boxes that my wife packed from a move that she made in the early 90s prior to our wedding. They are in the attic and garage un-touched to this day. I intend to have my children open them when the estate is settled. |

Round 3 - Bout 3 Result
Jackie Jurich (#34) Draw Midget Wolgast (#10)
San Francisco Civic Auditorium The pair will have to go at it again. Wolgast appeared to have won a comfortable, if drab, points victory. The view was held by the corner of Wolgast who were happy for their man to cover up in the last round. Two of the judges had other ideas, one giving the fight to Jurich with the other calling it even. Wolgast appeared to have the measure of Jurich throughout, planting jabs and crosses accurately to his opponents chin. As the final bell rang it appeared that Wolgast could have fought on all night. The rematch will take place in Philadelphia. Next up .... |

Round 3 - Bout 4 Result
Benny Lynch (#20) UD12 Saman Sorjaturong (#11)
It took Lynch two rounds to work Sorjaturong out, after that the Scot dominated the bout. Lynch shipped a couple of heavy rights in the opening exchanges which prompted a change of tactics. Therein Lynch switched to a counterpunchers role and picked off his Thai opponent with ease. Sorjaturong ran out of gas just after halfway and was unable to put any pressure on Lynch. The judges had an easy task with one giving Lynch the last ten rounds. Up next ...... |
