Middleweight Prelims- Month 19
Billy Soose 15-3 (7) vs Damien Walec 18-0 (11)
A big step up from The Omens recent draws and he was on point early, punishing Soose with jabs and straight lefts in the opening round before flooring Billy in the second with a wicked uppercut. An expected challenge never materialized as Walec hammered him the whole way, dropping him again in the twelfth round to cement the overwhelming UD, 120-106 x2 & 119-107 In may not be until the Tournament that we see Damien pushed to his limits. |

Middleweight Prelims- Month 20
Robbie Sims 11-6-2 (6) vs Damien Walec 19-0 (11)
Sims brought the fight to Walec and got the best of several heated exchanges in an intense opening round. Robbie continued with his success in the second, slipping inside on the gangly Walec and ripping hard hooks to the body and head. Walec took the ball in the third and peppered Sims from long range with his jab and straight left hands. Damien continued to control matters in the fourth until the final half minute when Sims stunned him with a vicious uppercut and a double hook to the head. Looking to follow up, Robbie opened the fifth aggressively and scored with two hard right hands. As he advanced to follow up Walec ripped a hook to the body and brought a short hook to the head that landed flush on the chin and put Sims down and out for a shocking one punch finish to an excellent fight. |
