Nerd Tournaments Part 2 (users welcome)
As I'm plugging along in my tournaments I realize this is the structure easiest for me to stick with. As you guys know, it's nice to have something else that you don't have to document.
So I'm going to begin setting up the next one as I finish this one. This time I am going to sim the 20 fight ins instead of just auto running them and I'm going to include Rocky fighters as well as some friends & relatives. I may include some characters from film and TV too. If any of you want to create a fighter/fighters, just give me a name, weight class and style. You can choose 1 per division if you want to or just one all together. I'm not having any created fighters ranked over 10, so if you want to copy a guy from the game list that as well. I'm just now getting to the rounds of 128, so this is obviously a lengthy project. But i'm going to start on the Strawweights shortly so i figured I would open it up for anyone with interest. Any of your fighters I will recap all of their prelim fights leading into the tournaments. Last edited by PWillisTheMan; 03-01-2011 at 02:02 PM. |

Straw Prelim Results
Obviously there has not been a big rush to create guys, but if anyone decides they want to. Feel free at anytime along the way.
Titles are involved with WBO for rated 9 and lower, IBO rated 7 and lower. The titles are randomly contested in the first round of fights. I decided to run the prelims with all the fighters, but the tournaments will be half of the guys in each division. So I had 174 Strawweights and 87 advanced to the tourney. 1. Nkosinathi Joyi 19-0-1 (13) The South African finished Daniel Reyes in 9 and took a UD over Rodel Mayol before drawing with Leo Gamez. He won his last ten, eight by KO with the most impressive being climbing off the deck to flatten Ala Villamor in six. 2. Ricardo Lopez (WBC) 20-0 (18) Finito won the Vacant strap in the first fight with a 3rd round KO over Eduardo Ray Marquez. He then defended the belt nineteen times. Getting off the canvas twice in the opening round to stop Ratanapol Sor Vorapin in eleven, Edmund Villamor in ten and destroying Donnie Nietes in 3 being the most notable. 3. Leo Gamez 18-1-1 (10) Leo opened with a hard fought UD over Rosendo Alvarez. With the exception of the aforementioned draw with Joyi, a UD loss to Ivan Calderon was his only blemish. Gamez closed strong with a SD over Zolani Petelo and a one round demolition over Nietes. 4. Matthew Bell 19-0-1 (11) Bell cruised to 18-0 with Unanimous Decisions over Nietes and Kompayak Porpramook being the most note worthy. Then he faced IBO champion Fahsang Pongsawang in a non title fight. Most thought Bell pulled it out late, but all he got was a draw. 5. Ivan Calderon 19-0-1 (4) Calderon beat highly regarded Roman Gonzalez with a 5th round TKO due to cuts before a draw with Keitaro Hoshino. Then he reeled off 13 straight with the best wins being the UD over Gamez and another UD over Yutaka Niida Other Champions: 9. Fahsang Pongsawang (IBO) 18-1-1 (12) 17. Pornsawan Kratingdaenggym (WBA) 15-4-1 (10) 18. Keitaro Hoshino (IBF & WBO) 11-4-5 (3) Notables that missed the Tournament: Rated 7 or higher 103. Hector Luis Patri 5-12-3 (1) He had a chance against Muhammad Rachman in the final bout but a late rally resulted in only a draw. 124. Katsunari takayama 12-6-2 (4) Takayama was well inside the cut after 18 fights. Then he drew with Iwon Key (3-15) before a disastrous UD loss to Rick Budgeon (2-17) to close matters and drop him out of the tournament. |

How will you be aging the boxers? I will create my guy in the beginning stage, but should I also create a prime rating? Or should I put him directly in his prime?
