Hey guys, anticipating a question coming up on this I have added a rule regarding fighters that retire mid season and also a change to the end of season bonus. I have replaced the MVP vote with the Chilton Cup Champion (the individual HW Champion) who will be crowned prior to the first season.

The first post with league rules has been updated and I have copied the additions below as well.

Chilton Cup Champion Bonus
The Chilton Cup is an individual trophy that will be contested in league matches. Prior to the first season only each team will nominate 1 fighter from their squad to compete in the inagural Chilton Cup tournament. The winner will be crowned as the first Chilton Cup Champion and will defend the cup in each of his league matches during the season.

At the end of the season the team employing the Chilton Cup Champion will earn a $2 bonus to their funds. The Chilton Cup travels with the holder, so if a fighter is out of contract and beomces a free agent and is signed by another team during the auction phase the Chilton Cup will go with him. The bonus is only handed out at season's end, so the new team would not be compensated unless the Cup was still in the possession of the Champion at the end of the next season.

Retiring Fighters
With the aging system in place it is entirely possible for a fighter to have a career lasting less than 3 full seasons. Conversely, no fighters career will span over 10 seasons. In the event that a fighter is retired during the season he will be dropped from the roster and the team losing him may sign a fighter from the free agent pool for the remainder of that season only for the league minimum ($0.5). Once the season is over that fighter is a free agent again and subject to normal bidding.

A fighter can not be released for any other reason until the season ends. So, if you take a chance on keeping a post prime fighter and he moves to end during the season you are stuck with him. That is risk you take in a dangerous game like boxing
