All three judges had the fight 68-67 for the winner …..Marvin Hagler!

Hagler-Robles

On the Civic Center on Providence, Rhode Island, Marvin Hagler 43-2-1 (33) looked for a convincing victory against journeyman Rudy Robles 35-10-1 (13) after his very complicated fight against Ray Seales.

Hagler took a step backwards and connected a left cross, Robles shortened the distance and connected an uppercut and a hook to the ribs but again Hagler took a step backwards and connected a wild overhand left that landed on Robles’ chin dropping him for the full count at the 1:42 mark of the first round.
