November 30, 1912

Title Fights

HW - Carl Morris (18/10) (18-0) (pre) scored a KO4 over Black Bill (7/13) (19-2) (pre) to win the USBA HW title.

Morris was in control of the fight and dropped Bill in the 4th. Bill couldn't beat the count. I had it 29-28 Morris at the stoppage.

LH - Billy McColl (14/10) (20-13-1) scored a TKO3 over Tom Cowler (48/55) (13-3) (pre) for his 4th defense of the CBU LH title.

McColl dropped Cowler twice in the third and was pouring it on when the ref stopped the fight. I had it 20-19 McColl at the stoppage.

WW - Mysterious Billy Smith (31/26) (23-6-1) UD10 Bartley Connolly (19/23) (21-6-2) One of the weird times the winner isn't ranked higher

Young Griffo chose to keep his WBC title but will have to participate in a tourney.

The IBF LW title is vacated and there will be a tourney for the title.

Well crap, man Ryan has fallen on some hard times since dropping his first fight. This has to put a major dent in his chances of ever getting another title shot in his prime.

The LBA dropped to the second page but never fear ... I will slowly work through December while I try to get the amateurs through 1912.

I will run through the beginners after team play in Feb.

Plus I am hoping for a patch to put PP back the way they were and to fix the disappearing title problem (although I haven't seen it, but only because I'm not playing any uni with titles right now)
