While it's nice to see Herrera get back on the winning track, it doesn't seem like he's going to be much of a threat to win it all getting drop and stuggling to win a SD over a 9-9-2 fighter doesn't inspire alot of confidence. Well hopefully I'm wrong and he can win himself some gold.

Yeah it is worrisome, I'm not sure he can make back to the top tier either, but I'm still rooting for him.

The beginners had a good month as their numbers start to dwindle again. They went 67-8-7 against the TC's with several fighters moving up.

Not too many fights at all this month (sad when I refer to a schedule of 96 bouts and 82 beginner bouts as not that many) ... alot of high random numbers. The end result is only two title matches. There should be some good fights this month though as this is the month I chose to do the "fighting the closest ranked fighter" month.

I used the LBA rankings and all ranked fighters will fight the next closest fighter (i.e. 3 will fight 6, 7 will fight 10 and so one). The unranked fighters will fight the next closest rated fighter. This was set up for both the main and club division fighters so alot of the pre-prime club fighters will get a solid test this month.

Al Delmont (17-7-2) scored an easy UD15 over (#2/2) Monte Attell (13-4-1) for his second defense of the LBA Bantamweight title. Delmont scored early and often and confused Attell with solid defense the entire fight.

Delmont won 6 out of the first 7 rounds. In the eighth, Attell's right eye started to swell and he started carrying his hands low. Attell was dropped in the 9th and the 12th.

I scored the fight 148-137. Ringside expert, Mark Moe, scored it 147-137. The official judges scored it 147-137/148-138/146-137.
