Yeah there are only 7 fighters in the main division right now that are rated over 6. Carpentier, McAllister and Morrow are not ranked yet. Dillon, O'brien and Butler are all in the mix. Houck lost a couple in a row before the ratings change so he is languishing at 24th right now.
Fitzsimmons retired last year, will probably be back in 1911 as most of my retirees seem to return (75% chance) but he'll have a 60% chance of coming back post-prime. No real help on the way either. No one ranked over 6 in the club division and only Levinsky in the beginners. I throw some Heavies down there to begin every year but I tend not to throw guys rated over 5. 25 out of 88 LHW's are rated 4-6. That explains why Weinig and Greggains and Russell are doing so well. Craig is a product of the conversion. He had 14 fights so he got 200 points and then beat a TC for his 15th fight. He'll drop quickly. I figure as long as Dillon avoids O'Brien before turning prime it'll be a while before he loses, but you never know. Edit - another thing to remember is that I just started the TC's about 2 years ago so alot of these guys didn't have the advantage of fighting alot of TC's in their first 15 fights, so their records suffered for it. Quick note ... Austrailian Billy Smith has been campaiging as a HW in my universe, evidently he was a LHW so he has dropped down to LHW. He is currently 22-14-1 and debuts ranked 13 in the LHW division.

May 1910 title fights
Not many this month, only 3 but there's also 4 title elimination bouts.
LH - (WBA) Joe Butler (32-7-2) vs. Alec Greggains (6) (11-3-1) (first meeting, Greggains at pre) MW - (WBC) Charles McCoy (26-8-3) vs. Dan Creedon (3) (25-12-1) (McCoy won by TKO1 (cut) in 1907) LW - (WBA/C) Frank Erne (18-5-2) vs. Austin Gibbons (10) (22-17-3) (Erne won by UD10 in 1906) |

He's only a 4 in my uni.
Just had a quick look on boxrec, at first glance yours looks more accurate. Most of his poor performances were late on. He's 4-6-1 at Middleweight in mine, may have to do a bit of tweaking. Watch the WBF timeline for the miraculous rise to fame of Butler ![]() |

I just checked the main db and sure enough he is listed as a 4. What I think may of happen is someone posted a file of him as a MW (rated a 9) where looking at boxrec he was real strong, and then when I moved him to LH in my universe I only adjusted a couple of things which dropped him to an 8.

Anytime I mention a guy you don't have let me know and I will post him, usually I have no idea where I got them unless it is posted in the biography. |
