WOOOOOOO, Curry thats a big win for him. I started hunting down Curry fights on the internet since I had him on the Muckboys but had never seen him fight in real life and after watching a few I must say I've become a fan so hopefully he can take this whole thing. Of course, thats going to be a tough task if Sugar Ray can keep this form throughout the whole thing. That was a nasty performance, I figured he would be Honeyghan but not in one round that can't make the anothers in the tournament feel to good.

Looks like great month coming up especially in the HW division with a couple of big time HW bouts and Foreman stepping up in class again. I'm taking Tyson, Holmes, and Foreman in those fights.

Grrrrrrrr He crushed a young kid I happen to know. I was so sure Moochie would take the second time after the first one being split. Crushed, absolutely crushed. I was a sophomore in high school when Starling lost the first time. Waited until I was a senior to get revenge and then he did it again. |

Yeah, some good match-ups this month. I'm also going with Holmes and Foreman, but as regards Holyfield - Tyson I'm not too sure. I reckon Holyfield might take him. Should be a great fight though.

6th - Detroit, MI
Main event at the Joe Lois Arena, which is turning into a popular fight venue over recent months, saw a welterweight contest slated for ten between Aaron 'The Hawk' Pryor and Milt 'The Iceman' McCrory. McCrory, the hometown fighter, entered the ring to a standing ovation. Pryor, who hails from Ohio but also fights out of Emmanuel Stewards Kronk Gym, was also greeted warmly. For the first two rounds, Pryor dominated McCrory, letting him know who's boss, until in the third 'The Iceman' settled down and got into the fight. Pryor took the fourth and fifth however with his busier workrate before suffering a disastrous sixth, which saw him on the seat of his pants twice. The first was for a count of seven following a strong combination of punches from McCrory which felled Pryor. Almost immediately he was down again, this time for a count of five following a haymaker. He regained his feet looking groggy, and his left eye was also beginning to swell. He was releived to hear the bell. However, he recovered quickly to take the seventh, then completely took over in the eighth, with McCrory being outgunned and hitting the deck following a murderous punch to the liver. He was up at eight, but he was hurt. His right eye had also ballooned up. Many felt the referee should have stopped the fight in the ninth, with McCrory shipping some heavy shots and not firing back. It was allowed to continue, with McCrory looking out on his feet. However, thirty seconds into the tenth and last McCrory was put away following a hard hook to the head. Pryor was ahead on the scorecards at the time of the finish and improves to 2-1-1 [2]. Mccrory drops to 1-2. Fringe heavyweight contender Greg Page from Kentucky improved to 19-6 [12] with a routine, unanimous points win over Puerto Rico's Ossie 'Jaws' Ocassio. Scores were 98-91, 97-92, and a too close 97-94. Page cruised to victory against the durable trial horse and was never in danger, with Ocassio only putting in an appearance in roundstwo, four and ten, which was the best round of the fight. Ocassio is now an unimpressive 1-8. Welterweight Mark Breland was too much for Korean Sang-Hyun Kim, stopping him at 2.57 of the third with Kim no longer fighting back. Kim, now 0-3, was down following the opening bell and was never in the fight. Breland improved to 1-1 [1]. Another American welterweight, Maurice 'Thin Man' Blocker won evry round in a scheduled eight over Mexico's Pedro Garcia. Scores were 80-72 [x2], and 78-74. Blocker displayed some neat boxing skills, but didn't have much resistance. Blocker improved to 1-1, Garcia dropped to 0-2. Lightweight Charlie 'Choo Choo' Brown improved to 5-7 [2], when he put away Lee Cargle at the end of the fifth of a scheduled eight. Cargle, 0-6-1, had only just regained his feet from a previous knockdown. Brwon was in charge throughout, although he suffered a torn lip in the third. The opener saw middleweight new boy Buster 'The Demon' Drayton win the first three rounds of his four rounder against perrenial loser Leonard Townsend, 0-12, before putting him away at the 2.03 mark with a cracking uppercut in the fourth. Your probably right that Holyfield will win but I'm still going to go with Tyson on this one.
