Alliance of Fictional Fighting Universe
I've been reading and enjoying the other universe threads here and thought I'd try this myself.
Alliance of Fictional Fighting The boxers involved are fictional, (except for a few), that were downloaded from Cornerwork, (ratings have been changed for some of the boxers). There are close to 1,000 total fighters that are setup in 5 different weight divisions. Heavy, light heavy, middle, welter, and light. Some boxers will be added slowly and some will retire, (although I haven't figured out the how and\or why for retirements). All current boxers are set to prime with new additions being set to beginning until after 3 or 4 fights. There are 3 sanctioning bodies which are the IBO, WBA, and WBC. With certain criteria entered, the game will chose all matchups unless a rematch is warranted or in some title considerations. The fictional starting date was Jan. 1st, 2000. I've also done a website for this universe which I plan to update frequently. Alliance of Fictional Fighting -jgcarp72 |

Inaugural Year in Review
Feb. 1, 2001 Year 2000... The first year of the Alliance of Fictional Fighting is history. Even with the absence of title fights and even rankings for said title fights by the three governing entities, the first year produced some good match-ups and several fighters from all weight divisions have begun to stake their claims for possible dominance. A look at the 5 divisions follows... Heavyweights With 280 members participating, this division is shaping up to be a good one. Slugger Winston Crevette from North Korea currently sits atop the list with a record of 8-0-0 with all wins coming by knockout, (2 of which were of the technical variety). As of February 1st, 2001 there are 20 fighters without a loss. The current top 5... Winston Crevette, North Korea Julian Gamble, USA Kelly Carter, USA Jerome Golard, France Hakku Tumar, Samoa Light Heavyweights 186 boxers total. Chad O'Connor of the United States currently holds the number 1 spot in this division. A total of 9 boxers have won all of their fights by knockout without suffering a loss. The top 5 stands... Chad O'Connor, USA Svein Lancer, Norway Ryan Dexter, UK Michael Pressley, Australia Tormond Ferguson, Scotland Middleweights 200 members with top spot currently belonging to Jesus Enamorado 8-0-0(6) of Cuba. Many contend that Jesus is "nothing special" but can hold is own in this weight class. He may have to hold his own against some of the rest of the top 5... Jesus Enamorado, Cuba Levi Floresca, USA Eyvaz Borcali, Azerbaijan Julio Alvares, Cuba Bjorn Bjoenkaer, Norway Welterweights Division has 164 boxers with many possible favorites. Many have directed their attention at Boon-Nam Panomyaong, Colton Orr, and Robert Drake to be top fighters. Top 5 currently are... Robert Drake, Australia Colton Orr, Canada Alexandros Economakis, Greece Jerald Kunshier, USA Liam Maghee, Australia Lightweights 166 are involved in this division. Rated #1 and considered to be the favorite is Michael Reid Jr. 8-0-0 (6) from the United States. Others that should do well are Marco Movoa (#10), Sandy Weinstein (#20), and Georgios Papamichael of Greece. Top 5... Carter, LaBlanc fight lives up to the hype Mar. 27, 2001... Kelly Carter and Junior LaBlanc headlined a prime fight card last night in Los Angeles which presented the fans in attendance and in pay-per-view land with a great 12 round display of boxing. Both fighters put their undefeated records on the line in what could be considered the best heavyweight match-up of the year. In the end, LaBlanc's endurance and defense bested Carter's power and quickness with Junior winning by unanimous decision. Carter's record fell to 8-1-0. The Canadian born LaBlanc improves to 9-0-0 and has to be considered a front-runner for either, or all, of the vacant heavyweight titles. Both fighters have 6 knockouts in 9 fights. The main event was only one of the big match-ups of the night. Ryan Dexter (#3) and Bill Harding (#26) clashed in a Light heavyweight battle. Both appeared to be in great condition as this one started but Harding really looked good after he landed a powerful overhand right, in the second round, that put Dexter to one knee for a count of 2. However, Dexter would not go down again in the bout. Instead he returned the 2nd round favor with 3 knockdowns of his own. One time in the 9th and twice in the 10th. The last of these ended the contest with a 10 count. Scores showed in Ryan's favor 88-82, 85-84, and 86-83. Dexter improved to 8-0-1 with 5 ko's. Making his debut in the AFF, HW Van Dorsey notched a relatively easy win against 173rd ranked Demeny Khuen by knockout in the 3rd round. Khuen's camp said Demeny took the bout on short notice and wasn't ready for this one. Analysts said it wouldn't have mattered in the least and were surprised the bout went past the opening round. Also on the card...2 middleweight match-ups with Kris Wierman decisioning Nick Phillips in another good bout, 118-109 | 118-109 | 119-108. Wierman improves to 9-0-0 (7), while Phillips now has a record of 7-2-0 (6). The other middleweight match: Bjorn Bjoenkaer KO4 Uriah Cole. Lightweights Thai "Rising" Son and Philip "The Walrus" Murrayfield ended their bout in a draw. ---------------------------------------------------- AFF announces another ranking entity Mar. 26, 2001...The Alliance of Fictional Fighting announced that a new ranking system will soon be in use to compliment, not replace, the current performance points ranking system. The World Ranking Council will employ a formula to rank fighters, in their respective divisions, based on a host of stats. Positions in the title ranks for each the IBO, WBA, and WBC will also be large factors. These world rankings will not be calculated until the aforementioned title ranks become established. It is unknown at this time if the world rankings will have any bearing on future title contests. When asked about this, a spokesman for the World Ranking Council reported that this is not the intent of the new ranking setup. |

August 22nd, 2001... Frosti and Van match set for October Heavyweights Frosti Gudmunsson 11-0-0 (11) and newcomer Van Dorsey 3-0-0 (3) will battle October 25th in Indianapolis, Indiana as the headline of a three fight card. "It's never too early.", said Dorsey when asked by reporters if this high profile match-up comes too early in his career. Nicknamed "Iceberg", Gudmunsson is ranked #6 and is one of 12 boxers in the top 20 that has yet to be defeated. Both fighters are considered power punches with good hand speed and endurance. Frosti seems to have better defense, but Dorsey takes the edge tactically. Other factors in this fight could be Gudmunsson's erratic approach to training and Dorsey's inexperience. Either way this should be a great contest. Bouts: Gudmunsson(11) | Dorsey(3) Avg. Rounds per: Gudmunsson(5.1) | Dorsey(3.7) Punch Accuracy: Gudmunsson(43.40%) | Dorsey(49.60%) Knockdowns for: Gudmunsson(24) | Dorsey(5) Knockdowns against: Gudmunsson(0) | Dorsey(0) Most rounds single bout: Gudmunsson(10) | Dorsey(4) The undercard has lightweights Fabrice Gautreau (#4) and Sandy Weinstein (#10) battle for a scheduled 12 rounds. Both boxers are 10-1-0. Even though many feel Gautreau is vastly over-rated, this should be a good bout. Krarayoon Supasawat vs. Jerome Heeb will be the opening match. Both welterweights. --------------------------------- October 26th, 2001... From Startdom to Stardom? Dorsey thaws 'Iceberg' Indianapolis, Indiana...What looked to be an easy victory early on, ended with a wake-up call to the heavyweight division. Frosti Gudmunsson, with 11 knockouts in 11 fights, appeared to take control after putting Van Dorsey to the canvas 31 seconds into the second round. Even though Dorsey immediately returned to his feet at the count of 2 from referee James Condon, many felt this was a sign of things to come. And keep coming he did. Frosti landed a brutal combination 13 seconds into the 3rd which sent Dorsey reeling. At the 53-second mark, a bleeding gash over Dorsey's left eye appeared. From that point on all Van could do was cover and take solid uppercut after solid uppercut from "Iceberg" until the bell sounded to end the round. Then, in the fourth, the hard-hitting Dorsey showed why he will and should be considered future title material. At exactly one minute, Gudmunsson took an unexpected and quick flurry of head shots that caused Frosti to absorb his first knockdown in an AFF match. Unlike his opponent for this night, Dorsey is known to be a solid finisher. Blow after blow, mainly to Frosti's head, ensued for the rest of round four. Gudmunsson's right eye started to swell early in round five, and later the left eye. Even after some good jabs in retaliation, the big man from Iceland was continually punished by Dorsey. With Both eyes swollen on his fellow competitor, Van had to of known a big win was in sight. Nearing the end of round six, a comment came from one of the pay-per-view announcers after a rush of blood streamed from a gash above Frosti's now swollen-shut right eye, "Gudmunsson has too much heart for his own good. This is how fighters end up seriously hurt. Gudmunsson is taking too much punishment and Condon has to be thinking about calling a halt to this beating." At 2:45 of round six, Condon wrapped his arms around Gudmunsson to stop the fight. Each score card favored Dorsey by one, 47 to 46 with Van winning rounds 1,4, and 5. |

Jukka Koivito 16-1-0(12) TKO over Tormond Ferguson 16-1-0(5) in the 6th round on May 2nd. Both the IBO and WBA currently rank Koivito #1. He is #2 in the world rankings. Middleweight Pedro Campos 15-2-0(6) KO1 Hakan Nykvist 12-5-0(3). Adrian Subre 13-4-0(6) lost to Jacques Mariette 12-4-1(7) by TKO in round 3. It has been announced, by the WBC, that an 8-boxer tournament will decide who is crowned WBC middleweight champion. The pairings for this tournament are: Francisco Guzman 15-2-0(11) vs. Eberhard Bruhne 9-5-3(1) Guillermo Carriles 14-3-0(8) vs. Hector Cestac 10-6-1(2) Ray Irvin 16-1-0(6) vs. Pedro Campos 15-2-0(6) Alberto Guerrero 14-2-1(5) vs. Tony Quackenbush 13-4-0(12) The first round of matches will be January 30th, 2003. Welterweight Colton Orr 17-0-0(17) defeated Jesper Madsen 13-4-0(2) in a third round KO. These two are currently ranked #6 and #8 in performance. Colton Orr is one of three fighters still unbeaten in this division. The other two are Robert Drake 17-0-0(16) and Liam Maghee 17-0-0(10). Lightweight A great match-up occurred in this division last night, in Romania, between Efrein Cuervo and Clint Stiftner. The battle went back and forth for the first five rounds with neither boxer taking control of the fight. Cuervo went down in the 3rd round with a combination to the body and head from Stiftner. Round six seemed to be close and was later confirmed by the judge's scorecards, (9-9) by all three. Efrein went to one knee after an overhand right connected hard for a 7-count in the seventh round. Even with a badly swollen left eye in the 8th, Cuervo kept coming at Stiftner. However, in the tenth round, the damage from the first 9 rounds took a toll on Efrein and the match ended when Stiftner caught his opponent with a vicious uppercut that put Cuervo down for the 3rd time in the round. The scorecard totals showed in favor of Clint, 259-245. Stiftner's record improved to 16-1-0, with his only loss coming by a 3rd round KO from Michael Reid Jr. back in 2000. Cuervo suffered his first loss in 17 total bouts. Pablo Castellano 14-3-0(9) won by UD over Witold Pfeiffer 12-3-2(2) in Vienna, Austria yesterday as well. May 12th, 2003... Results from Fight Card in Liverpool, England Everton Park Sports Centre last evening... Headlining Bout - LHW, Jeff Mundine (WR #8) vs Rupert Layher (WR#6). Twenty-two seconds into the bout, Layher delivered a powerful uppercut that immediately dropped Mundine to the canvas. Being the first punch thrown in the match, many would guess that this fight would end surprisingly early. Twelve rounds later, Layher would get the split decision in a well-fought contest for both boxers. In round number six, Layher was put to the canvas twice. First with an uppercut and later a vicious head shot from Mundine that put Rupert on his back. Mundine went down again in the final round for an 8 count. Layher improved to 17-2-0, while Mundine went to 16-2-1. The scores were 111-113 | 112-112 | 111-113. Co-Feature - HW, Jabbar Akmar (Pp#3) vs. Hakku Tumar (Pp#29). No other way to sum up this bout than to call it a headhunting bloodfest. The hard-hitting Samoan Tumar would get the worst of it for most of the night. At 40 seconds of round two, Akmar floored his opponent with a hard cross for a 7 count. Tumar's right and left eyes became visibly swollen in the third after continual abuse, mainly from combinations. Tumar's lip was busted open in the fourth and attention started to turn towards referee Arthur Mercante to see if his arms would raise to stop this one. In the fifth at 1:17, both fighters bumped heads resulting in a cut above Hakku's left eye. Later in the round, Akmar's lip began bleeding after a harsh uppercut caught him flush. In the eighth round, Tumar went down to both knees after a violent ribcage shot from Jabbar. At the end of the round, Tumar was bleeding from the lips, from a cut above and below the left eye, and from a small cut above the right eye. Both eyes were also very swollen. Tumar began to make a comeback in round nine with some hard headshots of his own in which Akmar would suffer a cut above both eyes and his closed lip gash re-opened. The crowd was very vocal at the end of the round. Too little too late for Hakku however. Before the bell could sound for round ten to get underway, referee Mercante stopped the fight after a close review of Tumar's swollen eyes had revealed they were basically blinding him at that point. Akmar got the TKO win and improved to 17-2-0 with 11 knockouts. Hakku Tumar suffered his first loss in 18 fights and is now 17-1-0 with 17 knockouts. Other bouts on the card... Lightweights, Gregorio Pumares TKO9 Kristos Kaklamanakis. Pumares improved to 16-2-0(8) and is currently ranked 5th in performance. Heavyweights, Vlad Lucescu (Pp#58) KO7 Tyrone Claxton( Pp#40). Middleweights, Uriah Cole 13-4-1(11) KO2 Brandon Donovan 11-4-3(5) Welterweights, Bad Santa Mitch Christmas UD12 David Roche. Heavyweight John Basil Jackson won a match between him and Curtis Payne in Portland, Oregon on April 19th. Jackson won by unanimous decision in 12, 116-107 | 116-108 | 116-107 and improved his record to 19 wins, no losses, and no draws. In his last five fights, Van Dorsey has been victorious in each, by knockout. All but one of those fights ended in the opening round with the other ending in the fifth. Dorsey is currently 10-0-0(10). Light Heavyweight Jukko Koivisto 18-1-0(14) defeated Sebastian Lozano 6-12-0(2) by a 2nd round TKO in January and Enzio Benedettini 7-9-3(2) in a first round knockout last month. Ryan Dexter 18-0-1(10) won 2 match-ups by UD in January and April. Middleweight The four, out of a starting eight, boxers remaining in the WBC title tournament are: Tony Quakenbush (WBC#5) , Guillermo Carriles (WBC#2) , Pedro Campos (WBC#4), and Eberhard Bruhne (WBC#10) . The next round of fights are September 2nd. Kris Wierman improved to 19-0-0(12) with wins over Alexej Korbel TKO7 in January and Proteo Fontanesi UD12 earlier this month. Welterweight The WBA announced earlier this week that it's top two ranked fighters will face one another for the welterweight title. #1 Benigno Yasay from the Philippines will face #2 Boon-Nam Panomyaong from Thailand on October 8th of this year in Tokyo, Japan. Yasay 18-1-0(15), who is ranked #3 in the world and #1 in performance, is a well-rounded fighter who can take alot of punishment. His only loss came on September 13th, 2000 from currently undefeated Colton Orr. Panomyaong 16-2-1(3), who is ranked #7 in the world and 3rd in performance, is not a power puncher but can control fights well and is very hard to knockdown or hurt. His defense is highly regarded. Boon-Nam's two losses came to Robert Drake and Alexandros Economakis who have a combined record of 37-1-0 with 33 knockouts. Lightweight In another announcement, this time from the IBO, a match between their top two ranked fighters in Clint Stiftner and Pablo Castellano for the lightweight title has been arranged. Stiftner 17-1-0(10) is number 1 in both performance and world rankings as well as being the top ranked fighter in the IBO ranks. Clint's only loss was to Michael Reid Jr. in June 2000. (Reid Jr. is ranked #3 by the IBO). Castellano 15-3-0(10) is number 2 in both performance and in the world rankings. Castellano is considered the better boxer as far as defense is concerned but Stiftner is better with ring tactics and strategy. The biggest concern with Pablo is his inconsistent training mentality, sometimes becoming overconfident in his approach. This match is scheduled for August 28th in Buffalo, NY. |

July 10th, 2003...
Three Fight Cards Announced by the AFF The AFF announced three separate fight cards today that will include two title matches and the semi-final matches for the WBC middleweight championship. All three cards will be broadcast on pay-per-view and tickets for each event have gone on sale. The undercard for the Stiftner vs. Castellano IBO lightweight title fight has been finalized. The co-feature for this event, which is August 28th at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York, will be a great heavyweight contest between Smi Semiti and Zedno Stana. Semiti, unbeaten in 17 fights with 14 KO's, is ranked 9th in the world rankings and 4th in performance. Stana 18-1-0(18) is ranked higher in the world rankings at 4th, but lower in performance at number 7. The line on this bout is even at this time. In a light heavyweight match-up, Ryan Dexter 18-0-1(10) (WR#4) will face Pribislav Jelinek 13-3-3(5) (WR#16) in the support bout. On September 2nd in Cincinnati, Ohio the WBC tournament to decide the middleweight champion will continue with two semi-final bouts at the Cintas Center. One of the undercard fights will have John Thomas 3-0-0(3) and Davey Boulette 12-4-0(12) lock-up in a heavyweight match. This will be the biggest test for newcomer Thomas thus far. The final fight card announced will take place October 8th in Tokyo, Japan. Headlining this card will be the WBA welterweight title match between Benigno Yasay (WBA#1) and Boon-Nam Panomyaong (WBA#2). The co-feature for this event will pit Jim "Take That" Faxter against Gordon "Gordo" McKenzie in a light heavyweight match-up. Faxter 17-1-1(10) is 5th in performance and McKenzie 16-2-1(15) is ranked 11th. |

Hello Conn Chris,
I do the website locally and the webspace it is hosted on is through my service provider, Mediacom. 50 megs, (I believe), free when I signed up with their service. The pages for the site is based off a template from my web designing software. It's fairly easy to do with templates as you basically just have to fill in the blanks with text. Dreamweaver and Microsoft's Frontpage seem to be good applications for web design and both have some templates. The rankings are copy/paste of values from a few spreadsheets I made for my universe with Excel. As far as web hosting, one that I have used in the past, (because it had php support), is Tripod. The free service has some ads but the user has a choice of pop-up or on-the-page ads. |

August 29th, 2003... Pablo "Gallego" Castellano becomes the AFF's First Title Holder Amid some controversy, Pablo Castellano, now 16-3-0 with 11 knockouts, defeated Clint Stiftner with a 4th round TKO to win the IBO Lightweight title last night in Buffalo, NY. At 1:46 of what became the final round, referee Arthur Mecante stopped the fight because of a badly bleeding gash over Stiftner's left eye. "I couldn't believe Mecante thought that small cut was bad enough to stop the fight," said Clint, who was a 2-1 favorite going into the bout. "I was definitely doing well in there tonight, my strategy was solid, and I felt I was winning. Then it was like someone just decided to hand the title to over to my opponent. Kinda like a nightmare that makes no sense." he added. Stiftner's camp also made reference to Mercante's history of stopping fights early and quickly voiced their opinion that this was grounds for a sooner-than-later rematch. Stiftner was leading by 1 point on all of the judge's scorecards through round number three. When told of the comments made by Stiftner's side, the new IBO champ from Argentina who speaks English fairly well simply stated, "If he, (Clint), wanted to continue fight he should not have bled so much." "A couple things to look at here...Stiftner felt he was winning but was the only one to be knocked down, (in the 3rd round), and was the only one to have blood running into one of his eyes, heavily I might add, when this fight ended." said ringside expert Mark Heinsohn who also remarked on a possible rematch, "As far as a rematch, I think Michael Reid Jr. may have something to say about that. Remember, Stiftner's only other loss was to Reid in a 3rd round knockout if I recall correctly." Undefeated Michael Reid is the new IBO #1 contender and would be the likely candidate for Castellano's first defense sometime in '04. If not given an immediate rematch, Stiftner's next bout would come late 2003\early 2004 if he wishes to accept one. When asked if he would be ready for a bout at the end of this year, the one they call "Volcano" replied, "I just went an entire 4 rounds and got a little scratch, of course I'll be ready to go soon. Heck I can go tomorrow." ----- The co-feature for this event was a heavyweight showdown of highly ranked fighters. One time #1, Smi Semiti took his undefeated record into the ring to face Russian Zedno Stana 18-1-0(18). In about half of a minute into the first round, the tone for the rest of the fight was close to set, when Stana ripped a crippling right to Semiti that forced the Fiji Islands native to go on the defensive for the rest of the round. Zedno easily won the opening round as well as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Semiti walked into cross that put him down for a seven count in the 3rd. In the fifth, Smi was able to cause Stana to go down to a knee for a quick count and won his first round of the bout. He also did well in rounds 6 and 8, but the hard-hitting Russian was in too much control going into the 9th. An overhand right put Semiti to the canvas at 51 seconds, a perfect cross from Stana led to another knockdown at 1:29, and finally at 2:44, Smi went down for the third time by a constant punching attack from his opponent to end the contest. Also on the undercard... Ryan Dexter TKO7 Pribislav Jelinek (Light Heavyweights) Max Jones KO10 Jacob Brendle (Middleweights) Gula Louahla MD Nikiforos Terzin (Welterweights) Luis Morante SD Roger Jennings (Lightweights) In other news, welterweight Robert Drake (WR#1, Pp#2, WBC#1) suffered his first loss to 98th ranked Dragomir Niculescu 9-8-2(2) by a 5th round TKO in Pachuca, Mexico on the 20th. |

This will be part of a 6-fight card. The undercard will showcase: Heavyweights, Thomas Griffith #30 and Deangelo "Time Bomb" Talactac #37. AFF Announces Big Night of Fights Coming in August 2004 and Title Match-up for May The AFF announced that Alexandros Economakis (WR#2) will square off against Colton Orr (WR#3) on May 20th for the vacant WBC welterweight title. Economakis 20-1-0(17) is the current number 1 ranked boxer by the WBC with Orr 21-0-0(20) number 2. The only loss for Alexandros (Greece) was an upset to Ocelopan Soarez in 2001 by a 4th round TKO. Orr (Canada) has had some impressive wins in his undefeated career including an 8th round knockout of current WBA champion, Benigno Yasay, in September of 2000. This should be a great match-up. Both fighters are nearly equal in hitting power, defense, and endurance. Alexandros is better inside, while Colton is better on the outside. The undercard as well as the location has not yet been announced. The AFF also made reference to a "big night of fights" to be scheduled for early August of next year. Even though no names were announced, the AFF did report that there will be a match for the IBO heavyweight title and another for the WBA light heavyweight. There is also speculation that the WBC title tournament finale may take place on this card. Fights of note this month... Jerome Golard 18-0-0(13) SD David Sommerset 17-3-0(15) (Heavyweights) Kris Wierman 21-0-0(14) KO4 Alexej Korbel 2-19-0(0) (Middleweights) Liam Maghee 21-0-0(12) UD Balaputra Alatas 13-7-1(7) (Welterweights) -------------------- October 9th, 2003... Benigno Yasay is the WBA Welterweight Champ Tokyo, Japan. #1 Benigno Yasay of the Philippines became the WBA welterweight title holder last night after his impressive 7th round knockout of defensive guru and 2-1 favorite, #2 Boon-Nam Panomyaong. Both boxed well and the match seemed to be destined for a 12 round decision with no clear winner emerging. Until round seven. At 30 seconds in, Panomyaong would go down when he suffered a hard shot to the ribs for an 8 count. Combinations to the head would put him to the canvas for good two minutes later. Yasay is now 19-1-0 with 16 stoppages for and Boon-Nam is 16-3-1 with 3 KO's. Jim Faxter #5 and Gordon McKenzie #11 met in a light heavyweight match as the co-feature for this card. Faxter started strong but McKenzie appeared to be in control for most of this one. Gordon went down in the 5th after a strong combination but rebounded with a flurry of hard shots that forced referee Lawrence Cole to stop the contest nearing the end of round six. Ringside expert, Jim Trunzo commented right before the stoppage, "Faxter has heart and he won't go down, but that last uppercut from Gordon effectively ended this bout. Whether Cole ends it now or after the next bell sounds, it's over." McKenzie was leading in all scorecards 48-47 through 5 rounds. ---------------------- September 3rd, 2003... Guillermo Carriles Advances in the WBC Middleweight Title Tournament... ...but will have to wait on an opponent for the final and deciding match. Cintas Center in Cincinnati, OH was the site for a great fight card that featured the two semi-final matches in the WBC middleweight title tournament. When it was all said and done only one participant would move on to the title fight however. In the first of a double main event, Pedro Campos and Eberhard Bruhne fought to a majority draw. The trend for the first seven was each boxer winning every other round on the score cards with the only knockdown occurring in the 5th when Campos fell to the canvas a little over a minute in. Two out of the three judges scored the bout 113-113. Sipho Zondo from South Africa gave Campos the edge with a 114-112 mark. The WBC quickly concluded this morning that a rematch will take place, tentatively set for mid-February, 2004. This means that Guillermo Carriles, who defeated Tony Quackenbush in a 116-113 | 116-112 | 116-111 unanimous decision in the second main event, will have to stand by. Carriles has the option to sign for a bout in early 2004 if he wishes to. The result of such would have no bearing on his tournament status. The co-feature saw John Thomas KO2 Davey Boulette in a heavyweight contest that was billed as a good even match-up for this division. Two seconds before round number two would have ended, Thomas unleashed an overhand hand right that caught Boulette squarely across the forehead. Davey went to one knee instantly. At the count of 6 Davey put the other knee down and never returned to his feet until well after the count of 10. |

Tomato Can:
Here is the thread that goes with that site I mentioned in your thread. jgcarp72 has been away for quite some time. I wonder if he'll be back? He hasn't deleted his web page so perhaps we will see him again. Christopher
