here's a link to the program I use .... IMO it's the easiest to use .... step by step what I do is
1. download the photo 2. open the photo in irfan 3. put a perfect square (288x288 or whatever) over the area of the photo I want or just so I have the perfect square 4. hit edit/ crop selection 5. go to image/resize 6. make sure peserve aspect ratio is checked 7. set new size to 140 8. save pic over old save http://www.irfanview.com/ |

here's one of your re-sized. Also I am not the greatest at this, alot of guys on here can make a photo look alot better, but this will do
