Fictional Heavyweights...
For those using Fictional fighters, I've found a few, as yet, unidentified boxers' pics you can use.
Let's see...We'll say this guy was Bert Gilpatrick from Leeds, England. 1924-1929. Started in the boxing booths before landing some work in big city rings. Fought between 175 and 185. Promoted as the "Leeds Lightning-bolt".

No.2 uh...Battling Hanson HW Seattle WA. 1930 to 1934. Toured the west coast circuit after the Great Crash threw him on the dole. Fought mostly 4 and 6 rounders, padding the records of more talented heavyweights.

Barney "The Killer" Fife. Heavyweight. Well, maybe not. More like a featherweight. A small featherweight.

George England.(?) Found his picture, but no record. He appears to be a HW from about the White Hope era.

Anyway, when I saw that picture, the nickname came to mind immediately. He looks like a "Doughboy" with the little kid face. I had been thinking of creating a fictional type of fighter that has a great defense but little else. I think this photo may be the missing link I needed

Or, if he just heard that he will be fighting Joe Louis or George Foreman in his Title Bout debut... it's the, "You've gotta be kidding me..." face. |
