What problem is everyone having with the spreadsheet?
When you open the sheet do you have random names already there, but you can't use F9 to create new names, or do you get no names at all? When I open it in Excel it does nothing at all, but when I saved it as an Open Office file I was able to generate names. |

It's a free office suite. Download and install it, then right click on the name generation file (not the zip file, but the extracted excel file), and select Open With... select OpenOffice from the list and it should open up with the names generated. Then save the file as an OpenOffice 1.0 file. After that you can open it in OpenOffice all the time, F9 doesn't work, but if you close the spreadsheet and then reopen it you will have some more newly generated names. It's not ideal, but at least it works. |

Thanks a bunch folks! I got it to work with Open Office. I still cannot get the calc function to work on demand but it re-calculates every time I open it which can serve the same purpose from my perspective.
