1420 photos have been moved from "Missing Fighters Photos" thread

(pages 351-418)

Well, if anyone is willing to hit their head against the wall a bit more:

I am working on the Hawaiian boxers thread right now. Beyond that and whatever remains to be moved from the monster, the following are the last threads with photos that need to be stripped and moved:

Eric Regan

Photos with missing files

How is everyone doing besides Tom and Dave? I think that we may be able to actually be done by Easter!

I have only gotten about 10-15 pages through so far. Been busy with school and was re-cooperating from my injury. Sorry if I have been slow.

I completed the move assigned pages 281-350 awhile ago. The only photos that I still need to repost are those of various celebrities who weren't really fighters the Vistaman posted. Wasn't quite sure where to put them. Will probably situate them in fiction even though they don't correspond to any fictional personas.

Would the people that Matt assigned pages in the monster to chime in with what pages you had and what is left to do? If we can take a measure of where we stand and see who needs help due to time constraints or whatever it would be great. Maybe we can even get some new enlistees.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you would like to help us get over the finish line on this project you will be lauded as a great and noble member of the board. All who come after you will pay tribute to your courageous and selfless act. At the very least, I'll personally say 'thank you'.

If you are so inclined, here's what to do:

1) If you want to help work on the huge monster thread, PM one of the following people and ask them what pages remain from their slice of the pie and how it is that you can best help them:

Bigmat
a87star
SAL

2) If you want to tackle the Photos without files thread or the Out of Africa thread, please PM me.

Bigmat, a87star, Romultiltus, Bear, SAL and Tosti have done a lot of work to-date; thank you guys!

Once I am done with the Hawaiian fighters thread I will jump into whatever hasn't yet been taken.

Great!

If you want to help, here is what you do:

1) Start at the beginning of thread and systematically download all posted photos.

2) Re-post them in the appropriate decade thread in the photos sub forum based on their career start year.

3) In the title bar of the post put the following:

------Fighter name----(repost)-----name of original poster

4) In the body of the post, at a minimum post the name, division and boxrec number. Some people are adding career record and career length as well.

This is all being done in an effort to organize the photos and make identification a bit more clear. Using the board search function in that forum works well now and will generally result in good hits if the fighter you are searching for has been posted.
