Feedback on the photo sub forum

The photo sub forum is still a good distance from having all the posted photos organized but I was curious as to what everyone thought of it to-date.

Searching for photos is quite a bit easier now.

If you know what decade the fighter that you want debuted in:

1) Open that decade thread
2) Click the 'search this thread' button on the second gray bar (down from the top)
3) If he has been posted, all posts will appear and you can click on any of them to get to the photo that you want.

If you do not know which decade your fighter debuted in:

1. Go to the photo sub forum
2. Click the 'search this forum' button on the right (not the Google search)
3. The thread that your photo is in will appear
4. Enter that thread and go to the instruction above.

Note: Until we finish organizing the photos, the big missing photos thread will come up in most searches along with the debut decade thread. Once we are done, that thread will be put back in the general Mods forum and shouldn't be in the way anymore.


Anyway, I am curious to know what people think of the sub forum and the ability (or inability) to find what you want. Sorry to bore you with the steps above but I know that some folks are not aware of the board search function.

Great.

We are still a long, long way from being done. While I don't want to speak for the other people working on it, I am pretty sure they share my fatigue with the whole thing.

Hopefully, it will be usable and folks posting new pics in the future will buy into the format. Without that, it will fizzle.

Anyone else want to let us know how to improve this or what you might like to see.


Also, to those of you posting new photos in the sub forum:

Please, please read the announcement at the top of that forum concerning suggested posting conventions. A number of people have (and will continue to) put an enormous amount of effort into making the forum useful with proper identification. If the users here do not buy into the conventions, all of that effort will have been for naught as the forum will eventually descend into the same un search-able confused mess that we began with.
