Dean i like the way you rate a peak rating the career before and after i thank a fighter peak ratings usely between 1 and 4 yrs long sometimes maybe only a couple of fights fighters that are rated for a career are not true rating i love your rating of Gerry Cooney because Cooney gave Holmes one of his toughest fights while Holmes was in his prime after that a long layoff then a return was no where near the same Cooney that fought Holmes the Cooney that fought Holmes would have done to M.Spinks what M.Tyson did maybe not in the 1st but 3rd or 4th.So to combine Holmes and Spinks for one rating is not a true peak rating for Cooney.John Tate is another one who is not fairly rated for 2 yrs up to the 15th round and Weavers lucky hail mary punch Tate was the 2nd best fighter of world 2nd only to Holmes he ko'd Mercado,Bobick and Knoetze in onesided fights Controled Coetzee for 15 rds after the Weaver fight he was never the same he was treated very unfairly his manager, trianer everone involed with him dropped him.He was never close to the same fighter after that so Dean i guess what i'm saying is i would like to see a peak rating off big John Tate at his best. Bill
P.S Tate controled the Weaver fight up to that one punch what a shame do that fight over 10 times at same point an time Tate wins 9 . |
