I have been looking and have finally found a fighter from Iceland. Ten years ago a boxing coach from Minnesota went over to Iceland to teach the sweet science but, since boxing is illegal there, the police showed up with chainsaws and cut the ring in two!

Actually a woman by that name from Iceland is not a possibility. By law everybody has to have their father's name as part of their last name. If you were male and your father was named Thorvald (A common Icelandic name) your name would be something Johann Thorvaldsson, If you were female it would be something like Grunhilde Thorvaldsdottir. Since first names and last names are so similar people are listed alphabeticvally in the phone book by their first names. Interesting place. Too bad that with their Viking warrior heritage that they're not allowed to have boxing there.

Hey John, you've done some nice work on rising potential stars like Lara & Andrade, etc. Have you done anything with Beibut Shumenov? This guy sounds like he might be for real & is already calling out the WBO & WBA LHW champs.
