Lara
Your message was unclear. Did you find him? He's in the official data pool now. Here's the official version in case you haven't downloaded from the pool recently. I don't know if there are any changes from my original rating.

Pitalua goes quite a ways back. Back in the late 90's/early 2000's he fought Cosme Rivera, Artur Grigorian, Mauro Lucero, Saul Duran, Roberto Valenzuela and Arnulfo Castillo. Seems like he suffered from bad management until his big win against Jose Armando Santa Cruz in 2008.

I know he'd been around when Valero blew him away but didn't think I had a rating of his that I recall seeing. |

Never had a rating of his.......was planning on getting it done though until you brought it up. Even though he's rated a 0........it tends to fit him because of his record padding and inactivity.

I posted him on the lightweight thread earlier this afternoon. He has a crummy rating in spite of all the titles he's held but, if you look at each of his titles individually, they're unimpressive.

I have disagreed with the official rating of Antonio Escalante for a while and have rated him as a Featherweight to reflect what I've seen. For instance, he's more of a slugger than a boxer. I also rerated the Velasquez brothers due to their performance last night. The Juan Nazario who fought last night is not the same Juan Nazario who I rated once before.

LOL, yeah really. He's a tough 0 though, won't be easy for that guy to win 40 some fights. |

Hi John,
This might be a weird request but do you remember or have a rating for Octavio Lara? He was supposed to be Manny Steward's new hot prospect back in 2003/2004. He lost a couple of times and never panned out but he was fun to read about. The game had him ranked in an earlier version but I cannot seem to find it. Speaking of one time hot prospects, do you have an Ed Hopson rating coming up in your JLW ratings? I remember him as 'Boy Wonder' under Lou Duva's stable in 1989/1990. NBC would actually have him on a few times in 4 rounders in the beginning of his career on Jorge Paez undercards. Of course, he matured into "Fast" Eddie Hopson and had some success but not quite what they thought. Thanks, John! |

Ed Hopson I'm sure I have. Will look to be sure. Lara I don't, but that doesn't mean I can't create one. Look for him in the Miscellaneous Fighters thread during the next couple of days. I'll post Hopson and Bojado there too.
