Request for the Fighter Ratings gurus...

I'm new to this great game of TBCB and love running "what if" unis. I create and download a lot of fighters not included in the database and may even tweak a few here and there according to my opinion of the fighter.

Basically I'm asking for a somewhat educated/hypothetical guess as to what would be the ratings for fighters who won multiple Olympic Gold medals as a professional, such as: Felix Savon (Cuba); Boris Lagutin (USSR); Hector Vinent (Cuba); Ariel Hernandez (Cuba); Mario Kindelan (Cuba); Jerzy Kulej (Poland); Harry Mallin (GBR); Oleg Saitov (RUS)...

Amateur fighters are not in my comfort zone. My resources and scope of knowledge is focused on professional boxing going back to Figg. I've read a couple of books on the history of Collegiate boxing in the NCAA and at Wisconsin and those guys would be the only ones I'd feel comfortable with.

Years ago, Shane posted some ratings for amateurs and some of these were sent to corner work. A few others were posted in the retrieved 2001 archive thread that I started here in the mods.

In an older mods thread Asian and Oceanic fighter CONN CHRIS posted some amateur medal winners from Asian amateur games. When I talked with him about how he created them he told me he used a template. Sadly he no longer has it, but you could select a weight class from one of the amateur competitons that he posted in the thread and reconstruct the template by downloading the fighters. Gold silver and bronze medalists and the early round opponents should give representative performances.

These are the only consistant efforts at amateurs that I'm aware of in the forums.

Thanks Bear for your reply in the the Stevenson thread but I'm basically looking for something similar to the Roberto Balado post in your TC thread.

Any help or opinions would be appreciated!!

Savon

Here's the Savon I had in my DB. I rated him a few years back.

Rocky, too

I know this isn't exactly on your topic, but someone rated the Rocky universe fighters, also. You might want to pick those up. A couple of versions of Teofilo Stevenson are out there, too.

The only Rocky fighter I did was Mason Dixon. Shane did a lot of the major characters and another forum member did the video fame characters.

I'm slowly trying to add fighters and opponents that appeared in a couple of 90's publications on rising stars. Balado was mentioned as a common opponent of several fighters and I dug around for some info on him. I looked over the versions of Teofilio and Felix Savon as guides for creating the file which was highly speculative.
