In going through some 1960 News looking for some photos I ran across this one of Menzies Johnson and Dave Charnley with a short article about Johnson's arrival in the Britain and his start in boxing. So I looked up his record and did a rating for him.

I've decided to alter my path here bit with this project. First off, i've decided Instead of rating all together all the fighters present in the current issue of teh LCBR (The Boxing News), and presenting them at one time, I'm going to do two of them at a time, rating the opponents for each fight and then posting them. This way, I can keep things going a little more continously instead of taking a month plus to try and post things. Hopefully keep everyone's interest a little better in the project.

Also as far as the LCBR paper itself, I'm going to make it probably a lot less lengthly with only very short excerpts of the actual acticles from the Boxing News magazines everything is drawn from. I don't profess to be a very creative writer at all and I'm struggling with writing these short articles without plagiarizing the original authors. I don't want to be doing that. So I hope you'll be happy with just the short excerpts to introduce the fighters. If there is something I think would be extra intresting to you all I'll try my bet to put things in my own words.
