I like your Mancini avitar. I remember going on a family vacation to Virginia Beach one summer & my brother & I wanted to see Mancini fight Alexis (I think?) & our father yelled @ us saying we're here for a vacation, not for us to watch boxing. |

On Boxer Ratings
Just wanted to say that I think these are great threads. It's no secret that I don't know everything about every fighter who ever laced up the gloves and it's also no secret that ratings are subjective. So I follow these with interest.
It's always fascinating to me to see whose rating produce the more accurate result when a fighter is matched against others whom he actually fought (at the correct career stage and multiple times to prevent a fluke). I think fighters are getting "lost" because of the way Andreas has "linked" all versions of a fighter under RATINGS, with only one of those showing in the division lists. For example, Sugar Ray Robinson, if set to a default at ww, won't show as a middleweight, or if defaulted to mw, won't show as a ww. As a matter of fact, I had a letter from someone who couldn't believe Robinson wasn't in the game as a welterweight! The new FAQ (parts 1, 2 and now 3) will take a look at this "issue". In the meantime, keep up the good work. |
