Jofre may know something about this Mass LHW. He beat some really good fighters but wasn't very busy and never got out of the northeast.

Chris, I need to do a little digging about why Tommy abruptly stop fighting. I'm not sure but I believe he may have had some out of the ring problems. I'll get back to you. Here is a photo to match your rating.

I've come across a couple of old timers from the 30s or 40s who ran off a streak of wins and suddenly seemed to have stopped fighting. In some cases I would think they either joined up or got drafted for WW2.

Cap, yes you are correct. A number of fighters didn't return to the ring after WWII. Some came back for a fight or two and the fights were not picked up and recorded in The Ring record book. They had a policy (in most cases) not to include a fighter's record in their record book if they fought less than 3 times.
