Billy Smith (repost) cap

Billy Smith - I am not sure which of the nearly 100 Billy Smiths this one is.

Perhaps this fellow?

On Aug. 10, 2004, the IOC announced that Munyasia, a bantamweight, had tested positive for cathine on Aug. 6. Four times the allowed limit of 5 micrograms per milliliter was found to be present in Munyasia's urine. He was immediately barred from participating in the Games and banned from amateur competition for two years. He always denied any wrongdoing. He reportedly was considering turning pro back when I posted the pic, but evidently went back to amateur boxing, as the following from The Nairobi Standard indicates:

BY SAMSON ATEKA

Former international pugilist David Munyasia made a successful comeback after a two-years absence as he led Kahawa Garrison to joint victory of the Armed Forces Inter-Brigades championship at Moi Air Base Gymnasium on Thursday.

Kahawa Garrison, Fourth Brigade and hosts, Moi Air Base, jointly shared the coveted trophy after tying on 15 points. Kenya Navy finished second with seven points, while Artillery Brigade and Armored Brigade were joint third on five apiece. This was Munyasia’s first appearance since completing his two-year drug ban after testing positive for cathine during the 2004 Athens Olympics.

The 26-year-old army corporal displayed awesome punching skills when he handed fourth Brigade’s Francis Nyaga a 2nd round technical knockout.

"I need to polish up on my pace and I am certain of regaining my bantamweight slot in the Kenya team," Munyasia said.

Regino Aguila - posted by boxscribe as a 40s fighter

Could it be Popeye Aguila from Chile who fought twice in 1942? #252128

Not sure myself anymore. I looked around my archive and couldn't find it. Looks like it may have come from an old magazine or book (?). Must have deleted it. Sorry.

Cap
The 'Billy Smith' that fought Gus Ruhlin is from the right era but it seems odd that a photo would survive of such a nominal pug. I'd bet on that one anyway, though not much.

There's a Billy Smith in the twenties that lost 4 bouts (recorded) and a few heavies in the 1890's that fought once.

Could it be a shot of Aussie Billy Smith who was a LHW?

Is now a trainer/cut man/coach. Was a German amateur star as a young man. I must have posted this one in the wrong string. Sorry.
