Anyone Else See This....?
When I start up TBCB just before the Alpha Omega Games screen there is a peculiar screen that I can't really describe except maybe it's like when the TV picture goes because the cable's down. At first it was just a flash, now it's about a second. I'm concerned that it is showing longer now and may be a sign of future problems running the game. Wonder if it has something to do with the video card?

This is interesting. I quit TBCB but didn't shut down my PC. When I started up TBCB again the main title screen flashed just before the Alpha-Omega Games screen. Don't know what it means, but it only started happening with the new patch 27. I saved the game folder on a CD just to be safe.
What kind of video cards do you guys have? Cap

In my continuing investigation into what may well turn out to be a paranormal phenomenon, I installed the latest update of TBCB2 on my internet-connected desktop. It's a Gateway E Series with a Celeron 2GHZ processor and 256 MG of RAM and an Intel Graphics Controller. When I booted up the game I did Not get the strange "herringbone pattern" screen directly before the Alpha-Omega Games screen. This only shows up on my old laptop where I have the game and use it most frequently.
So the plot, like my porridge, thickens.... Cap

I've got a Radeon vid card too with something like 30 mg. As soon as I loaded the last update I started seeing the same screen everyone else here is seeing. Whatever they fixed before to cause this should be unfixed.

Yep, I get that flash as well but sometimes it's a flash of the menu screen for TBCB while other times I've have it flash a screen of a game I was playing beforehand.

Friend of mine is getting a new DELL laptop and wants to know if it will run TBCB with no problems. It has a T2400 Intel Core Duo processor, a 15.4" wide screen XGA display and 256 mg ATI mobility Radeon video card. I have no idea what to tell him.
