Problem with boxers protecting cuts

I have noticed something while playing the game when you have a boxer choose its own strategy the boxer never seems to choose the strategy "Protect Cut" when the boxer has a cut or the eye is swollen. So I think boxers are more vulnerable than they should be

there still a lot of fights that ends with a cut
