Text errors

Hi,

I bought this game when it came out, for my old computer. My problem was that the text was completely messed up inside the game. For example the fighters names, text during matches and results - totally messed up. Instead of the real text there are just asci (?) symbols.

Good customer service though, I got a refund.

Now I have a new computer and downloaded the trial - same thing yet again.

I run a swedish version of XP service pack 2, could this be a problem? Is this a known issue? I really want to buy this product so please help me.

System info:
MB: Asus A8N sli
CPU: Athlon 64 3500+
GPU: XFX 7800gt
2gb ram
Windows XP sp2 (swedish)

I do not have any problems with any other game, and I have a lot of games!

The language is english, at least on those parts not made up by ascii symbols.

Ok, I have now bought the game again to be able to do more testing. Not all text is messed up, only those text bits shown in yellow, as in all the drop down menues and also in all fields describing the boxers attributes.

The other text is all right, for example the menu buttons etc. Don't know if this helps at all.

That's really a bad bug

But I've never seen that before!

Please have a look into your TB2 fonts folder. It's in \Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\Title Bout Championship Boxing 2\Skins\Default\Fonts
(the path might be different on your computer).

Double click on the fonts. A Windows dialog should open with some example text. Does that work, and can you read the text?

Also try to start the game without Direct3D (right click on the icon, and add nod3d it to the command line)
It might look like this then:

"C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\Title Bout Championship Boxing 2\tb2.exe" nod3d

Or maybe a problem with the swedish character set?!

Maybe we should anglifie (is that a word?) our alphabet in Sweden

Problem is still there. Maybe I can play the next version of Title Bout...because I hope you will be making one! Otherwise I will have to go back to the table top, Avalon Hill, game.
