How to FTP Files to Us

In some cases, when trying to fix or identify bugs, we may need you to FTP your league files to us. Here's how to do it!

Note: This assumes you have some familiarity with FTP.

Host: ootpsupport.com

Log in as "Anonymous" user

Folder: /incoming/tb/saved_games

You can FTP your files to us using your handy web browser, or any FTP client such as SmartFTP or FileZilla.

When using Internet Explorer, just navigate to ftp://ootpsupport.com, and press Enter. Click on "Page/Open Page in Windows Explorer" and navigate to /incoming/ootp/saved_games. Copy and paste your files there.

When we need information from you, we usually need all of the files in your boxing universe directory that end with .dat. (fighters.dat, cornermen.dat, etc.). Please zip all of the files up, and name the zip file with your forum user name; for example, joesmith.zip.

Then let us know that you've uploaded the file and how you called it.

Hi,
I don't have any familiarity with FTP, but am going to try and send the files from my database which went bad. It had over 7 to 8,000 files in it with many fights and careers that I was recreating. If I have to start over from scratch I can, but if there is a way to resume the database that went bad I'd be really happy!

I don't mind restarting the fighters careers from scratch so much, but am hoping to avoid reputting in the time to search for and download all those files. Any help you can provide me with getting the database to work again is greatly appreciated. And if not, thanks for trying.

Thank you for taking the time to produce this game. It is special and WELL worth the price.

Ok, I've copied all the files ending in .dat from the damaged database and placed them in the "Saved Games" folder, which was in the OOTP folder, and was in the Incoming folder.

Not sure if I did it correctly. The file is named Crimson.zip Initially I pasted the files directly to into the "Saved Games" folder and didn't have them in a zip folder.

Think I just did it correctly. I've put all the files in a Zipped folder called "Crimson2.zip".

There is also a "Crimson.zip" in there, but I think it's missing some of the fighter.dat files.

Thank you! I found the files and I'm downloading them now for testing.

Crimson, do you have any other files named ratingrecords.* ? For example ratingrecords.bak, ratingrecords.bak2? Please zip and upload them and let me know by email. Thanks!
