crash conditions

Somewhere the request was made that we post information about what seems to cause crashes. I don't know if this it's still useful this late, but here's what I've found:

(1) it happens only rarely when I am scheduling fights, and then when I have done a large number of them. I don't think it has ever happened during a fight.

(2) other than that, it seems to happen only or nearly only when I am making chages in a record by entering data in what I would call a variable field, as opposed to pulling down a menu and making a new choice.

I offer this for diagnostic purposes and don't want to send as though I'm complaining. The crashes are very frustrating, but I for one have not suffered a great many of them, and they are a small thing in comparsion with the tedium and frustration that the improvements in this version have relieved me of.

I haven't isolated it yet either but many scheduled fights (say 7000+) and using RFG's seems to be a factor. Once I deleted the first group of RFG's it was all better.

I've also been having frequent crashing problems when auto scheduling fights.
Hopefully on the next patch this can be corrected.

Almost all of my crashes occur while running the autoscheduled fights. This was also the case in 2.0.

I have learned not to run an autoschedule too soon after boot up as this is the most likely time for a crash. That may be due to anti-virus live updates or some such thing. The other crashes seem to have no rhyme nor reason.

The save feature has been a godsend in this version. I have become obsessive about saving as often as possible.

Angry

I agree Kevin .. Ive experienced the same problem with 2.0
as well, and i find myself backing up (saving) everything i do.

It gets very frustrating.

A trend

I haven't gone too far in testing this, but every time I crash out while running fights in the auto scheduler, the last fight selected prior to the crash has a fighter with a non-standard English character. Characters like ñ, or ó appear in the name.

Again, I've not thoroughly tested it, but it also looks to coincide with a bout that would possibly move the fighter to the next career stage, since it crashes I don't know that I'll be able to confirm if that actually happens or not.

Anyone seeing similar results?
