Championship keeps being vacated/stripped

I was wondering if anyone was having trouble on 2.5 with every so often I go to set up championship fight and the champion is no longer the champion, no one is. So I have to assign the title back to him. Is anyone else having this trouble. If any one can help or maybe I am doing something wrong. It is screwing with my Featherweight Universe and driving me crazy. I downloaded the patch and thought that might solve it but it did not. Other than that it is a great new version, WELL DONE LADS.

Yes, I have been having the same problems. What I have noticed is that when I exit and load my RFG universe (this is a database with absolutely no fighters, just created to make RFG fighters to transfer into another universe), if after I create and "close and save", then when I go and reload my saved universe, all my titles are gone. I have put a thread in the beta section to let Andreas know. I have had to go into the last ten saved games and copy and paste a title.dat file. After I paste this fighters2titles.dat file, everything is okay after you restart the game.

To solve this issue, when I go create RFG fighters, when I exit that universe, I do not save. If I do not save, it doesnt affect my titles.

Thanks, it is very frustrating, but just a great all around game, I love this game.

... may be a parallel problem. I use a database to rate fighters, update files, etc. I am building up my ring card girls (93 pics/bios of more than 650 done), but when I exit that universe and go to my Africa or LW universes, as an example, it says it can't import the ring card girls saved data pool. All I have is the default in those universes. Any ideas, anyone?

I Think I figured why mine is doing it, when i would delete RFG history's and records and then save my universe is when it happens. I did not like having a bunch of RFG so I would delete some or clear histories. But now I just keep generating more RFG's and it is not a problem anymore so far.

My titles holder go vacant when I do a Fight Card

Mine is buggered now as well!!

I don't have any RFG fighters. It's just my old universe, but I made the mistake of adding new groups and assigning fighters to them. Now when I went in today to check the organizations, I found that Joe Louis is no longer champion of the world and Max Schmeling has been stripped of his European title too.

Until this is straightened out, I'll go back to TB2.

I'm having the same problem. My titles keep going vacant. The respective champion's data still reflects that he won the title and the date, but every so often, i will return to the rankings and he has been physically stripped of the title. At first, it was just a few divisions here and there but last night, all of my titles were left vacant. I have 4 titles for each division, world, ibf, wbc, wba. Its frustrating because i had finally found a universe format that was working out well, but now that all of the titles have been vacated, i don't know where to go from here. I use a combination of random fighters from each division and use the random generator to create tomato can and club fighters for each to pad their records. My universe is very similar to the PUB universe, if this gives any useful information in solving this problem.

In the Title History tab does it say "so and so resigned the such and such title"?

If you have been reading this thread then you know that I have been having this problem from the start. I learned to go into My Documents/ootpdev/tbcb2.5/saved games and saved the titles.dat file from specific universe separately so that I could copy and paste it in case the universe titles kept disappearing. It happened a few more times, but I haven't had a problem for awhile now (the thread also shows the last time I have had this problem). Knock on wood, I hope I continue to not have this problem any more!
