auto scheduler won't schedule
i have my 1960s universe set up. i've followed the instructions on how to set up a universe, pick fighters, mass edits, etc. yes, i have activated the "use with auto scheduler" ticked in the mass edit. but when i try to auto schedule fights, nothing gets scheduled.
what am i missing? |

ok, i'll set this up to mirror the creating a game/universe from the new features area.
I'm setting up a league starting in 1950, so I select from the fighters area all those whose career started in 1950: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205519326 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205519326 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205519326 The fighters were all mass edited as follows: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205519566 The autoscheduler settings: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205520053 continued next page.... |

autoscheduler continued:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205520256 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205520256 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205520256 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1&d=1205520256 As you can see (hopefully, i've never done this before), no bouts were scheduled. The existing bout was done with the add button to the left of the auto scheduler. Because of the limited number of fighters, it was easy to do. Not sure I'd want to do that later in this league when there are many more fighters. So, any idea why the auto scheduler isn't working? |

I am at work, so I only briefly looked at this but the one thing that jumps out is the min/max rank setting. You have it at 1/100.
If I am looking this correctly, that excludes everyone in your universe because no one is currently at the minimum ranking threshold of ten fights. If that does not help, please let me know and I will look more closely at the details tonight for you.

yeah, i wondered about that. particularly at the very beginning.
in some divisions there's only 4 fighters. so i played around with that number, setting it from the maximum value of the fighters in the division to the minimum of 0. another issue is that during the first month, nobody is rated. in any event, nothing worked. even all my messing with that number didn't schedule any bouts. i'm befuddled. |

you don't have to put those numbers in at all.

Right. But, once you have a bigger universe going, the rank and number of fights check-offs can be used in a multitude of ways to set general experience and talent levels against others. It's pretty cool how creative you can get with just the selections that are available in that auto-scheduler. A powerful tool, but it is admittedly hard to get a handle on at first.
