Problems Entering or Choosing Data

Hello. I am finding that choosing data values when I run the program is difficult sometimes. I see this problem a lot on the Auto Scheduler. I will select a tab with the mouse and nothing happens...then I press Enter on the keyboard, and the tab is selected. This happens with some data values too. I use my mouse to select a data box and it is not selected until I hit the Enter key. I'm not sure what is causing this problem.

I know I always need to click twice on a box to be able to enter data.

I am not sure why, but that was the case with 2.0 as well. When you enter something in one field, you need to click on something (anywhere on the screen will do) before you can click on a new field and actually be in that field.

It seems like what happenes with dual screens where you need to click with the mouse first to let the PC know which screen you want before you can actually click, type et cetera on that screen.

I have gotten so used to it that I never even thought about it until seeing your post but I can see how it would be a pain-in-the-neck. We'll have to note it for Andreas (the promgramer) - thanks for mentioning it.

Chris, don't suppose they could fix it so the tab key will take you to the next field? Just a thought.

That would be oh-so lovely. I suspect it is linked to the necessity of the second click. Two birds with one stone perhaps?

You're Welcome

You're welcome, Chris. I'm failrly new at the game, although I actually had 2.0. I just didn't play it that much so maybe I didn't notice it before. But with most games, you can click in the box and it should be selected immediately, or you should be able to tab through the data entries. This game has the strangest mouse/keyboard action I've seen. Nontheless, I love 2.5 and it's gotten me much more interested in the game, especially with the auto-aging improved and the ability to create the boxers.
