TB2 .dat Failure! TB2.5 the cause?
I need help recovering my lost database files. I received a .dat error message when I tried to open my TB2 this evening. I hadn't backed up my fighter.dat file since November and the loss is devastating.
I was able to find the HTML files with all of the bouts that I've fought since November. Can these be used to rebuild my db? The only major change that I've made since November is that I downloaded and installed the TB 2.5 demo last night. I created a sample db this morning to have a look at the new features and think about how I might use my fighters in the new system. When I went to open TB2 this evening, my data was lost. Is there a connection? Since November, I've played my universe as normal. I've only used the Tournament screen to schedule RRs. Everything has progressed fine for months. I accidently overwrote the corrupt .dat file when I reinstalled my backup file. The ratings record and history dat files are still there. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Rob |
