Game Installs - License Good - Won't Start

Running Windows 7 with DirectX 9.0c.

I have a valid license and successful installation of TBCB 2.5. When I select "Launch" nothing happens. I checked to make sure the elicense was activated and I also tried running as administrator. This does not work.

The only thing that gives ANY hope is when I change compatibility to Windows 95 or 98. The game "appears" to try and run, but I get a Windows box that says: "Sorry, could not get a license at this time. Please try running this program later.

Is there anything left for me to try before I request a refund? I own Avalon Hill's Title Bout, both the board game and C-64 version. I was looking forward to having this in my collection.

Thanks in advance.

Update: I am able to run the program on my son's Windows 7 netbook, but not on my own Windows 7 PC. I have tried all of the alternate settings mentioned in the Sticky threads listed above.

I can bring up Task Manager and see the tb2.5.exe file. It stays in there about 10-15 seconds, then goes away. Usually, my screen blinks once but I never see any title page appear.

Anyone have any more ideas?

Have you tried contacting elicense?

Sorry, I should have updated this a few days ago. I was able to get up and running after "unloading" , then "reloading" my antivirus program.
