Installation Problem

I am having problems with the installation.

After installing this is the only Link that was created:

"C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\Title Bout Championship Boxing\Unwise.exe" C:\PROGRA~1\OUTOFT~1\TITLEB~1\INSTALL.LOG

It is entitled “Uninstall TQ” and is located inside the Title Bout Championship Boxing folder inside the Out of the Park Developments folder.

If I run the game manually from the EXE file inside of the installed folder the game will exit and freeze my computer regardless of what button I click first. This is exactly the same on both of my computers.

Please help.

Gentlemen, I wish I could supply you with answers but I am not in any way associated with or knowledgable about the download company or how it operates. I am sure that the Andreas and Markus will know the answer to you problem but it is after midnight in Germany and they will probably not be on until morning. I will attempt to reach them and tell them about your problems.

OK....it was installed properly....I had the same problem where it just had the "TB uninstall" prompt. What I did was went to my computer/c:drive/programs/ootpfolder and then clicked on the TB.exe voila!!!!!!

This is a bug in the setup file which didn't happen on any PC before the release. Sorry!

Which Windows version do you use? Did you try to install the game in another folder than the default folder?

Fix: Search the file tb1.exe on your PC and open it with a double click. This will start the game, if it is installed.

Which Windows version do you use?

Windows Me v4.90.3000

Did you try to install the game in another folder than the default folder?

Yes. At first it was to a different directory and then it was re-installed to the default to see if that would fix the problem. Since it didn't the game was uninstalled and re-installed again with the same results.

EDIT: I have even uninstalled and then re-installed using a new download directly from the FTP. Same results.

EDIT: Currently one computer has installed to default and the other has it installed to a custom directory.

Fix: Search the file tb1.exe on your PC and open it with a double click. This will start the game, if it is installed.

I can get the game to open this way without a problem. The problem is that once I click on anything from the first screen the game shuts down and the computer freezes. This requires a hard boot via the power cord, a scandisk & a re-boot each time.

install info

I did not use a default directory (or even default drive) and it never created a desktop icon or a program folder....but the game runs fine...I just use the run menu on start........

For people who do not have a desktop icon (all of you, from what I can gather, me included), find the file in My Computer and right click on TB1.exe. Then click on Send To.. Desktop. This will create a desktop shortcut for you.

Happened to me, too. Using Windows XP, changed the install folder to my D: drive but with the same pathnames.

No problems creating a shortcut and running it from there, though.

I was able to get it to run by changing the resolution on both machines:

1st from 1024x768 with 16-bit to 32-bit

2nd from 1024x768 with 32-bit to 16-bit

This would allow the game to run but when I exit it is necessary to reboot the machine and then change the color depth to the opposite again in order to restart the game. Otherwise, the game will exit and the machine will freeze.

Bump is so that the topic is pushed back to the top of the board. As in, to bump it up

Yes, it runs on WIndows XP.
Which screen resolution do you use? Which color depth do you use? Do you have the latest version of DirectX, and of your video card driver software installed?
